Reviews
"Wow what a fantastic renovation, we had a great time just exploring the space!"
"This is an excellent visitor’s centre for those looking for something to do or just have a chill. They have an extensively stocked ‘to do’ list with hundreds of pamphlets. The staff are also very friendly. I recommend the walking tour on Saturdays at 2pm. Our guide, Helen, was very informative. The tour is relaxed, with some good humour and would be suitable for all types of people interested to learn about not only the history, but the current aspects of this town. A word of caution, as it’s obviously outdoors, bring plenty of sunscreen! It ends with high tea at a nearby cafe with the guide. Great value for the price. There’s also a little reading room with free wifi and newspapers. Great place to have in the centre of town."
"Great information centre that has the most lovely staff. Very knowledgeable and helpful. Located centrally in town and with the library / reading room next door it has plenty of information for people. This place is popular during peak season (of course) and I’d encourage people to visit to know what events are happening in the area. Good parking out the front. Kids welcome - one of the volunteers gave a few kids a fish measuring chart when they came in - they were rapt. A must visit."
"A little Small but very helpful friendly staff. They even have the local papers and located in the centre of town by the bus stops. It is a small town where most people know each other's business but there's lots to see and do"
