Welcome to Power Pooches, located at 2 Van Der Haar Avenue in Berwick, Australia. We are not your average dog training institution. Power Pooches is the result of a journey taken by Jake and Sasha, an ordinary guy and his extraordinary dog, who became family. Both Jake and Sasha struggled with anxiety issues, impulse control, and reactivity, and finding affordable and effective help was no easy task.

Determined to make a change, Jake embarked on a research crusade and enrolled in a Dog Care course. This led to further studies in Dog Training and Animal Care with a focus on Dog Psychology. Professional help was also sought, and with a combination of knowledge and support, Sasha started her journey towards becoming a confident and powerful pooch. Training Sasha gave Jake a purpose and taught him valuable life lessons such as patience and the importance of slowing down.

At Power Pooches, we welcome all dogs, regardless of their behavioral challenges. Whether your dog is reactive, anxious, nervous, an adult, older, a rescue, or a puppy, we are here to help. Over the past year, we have assisted over 130 dogs with basic training, obedience, anxiety issues, reactivity, and more. Additionally, we have educated over 200 humans on how to make simple changes in their dog's life to bring out the best in them.

What sets us apart is our unique approach. We are physically present with you during all sessions, offering personalized care and guidance. Our pricing system is straightforward, allowing you to choose the number of sessions that best suit your needs, and these sessions can be used for all our services. We also record the sessions so you can review what was learned at your convenience. We believe in including the whole family or friends in the training process and offer secure and private venues for sessions, as well as the option to come to your home.

Jake recognized the need for a new and innovative approach to dog training. We understand the growing concern surrounding anxiety in dogs and the detrimental effects of old training methods. Traditional classes may not be suitable for anxious dogs, which is why we provide individual care, patience, and flexibility to help them make positive changes. Our training focuses on mental stimulation, the importance of sleep, how noise affects dogs, interaction with children, breed characteristics, local laws, and more.

Our ultimate goal is to educate dog owners and empower them to make positive changes in their dog's life and their own. It is important to note that our services are not for everyone. We do not believe in using physical aversion methods, halti's, or negative cues, nor do we promote the concept of being a pack leader. Our approach revolves around positive rewards, education, and learning how to understand and communicate with your dog on a deeper level. However, our services require a level of commitment from you.
