"Great place for hairy chicken, overcooked steamed oysters and small thorny pieces of lobster shells in your noodles. If you’re after cheap food this is the place, but not for quality. A sign of post Covid troubled business where they’re always short staffed, take short cuts, and don’t really care about feedback. We came for dinner, after waiting for an half hour of no one serving our order, we had to order from the cashier ourselves. We ordered the cash only set menu @$168 and received yellow chicken with lots of hair on them, steamed Oysters that are over cooked and hard, and lobsters which had noodles with small shard pieces of shell mixed in it. We tried to eat around it, but it was impossible to eat the noodles, as they cut into your mouth. We provided feedback and the waiters and waitresses said sorry and quickly ran away without interest. We had similar quality and service experience for yum cha in previous other occasions , and our last dinner at Fortune Place takes the cake. We gave them too many chances and won’t be going back. I’m concerned about the care that they put in the food they provide, let alone the food they prepare and cared for. Disgruntled chefs and staff with owners who don’t care?… You never know…."
"We got a 8 ppl set and the food was good. Lobster noodle dish was yummy. Big oysters were meaty. Better service than most places and not rushing or crowded."
"Had the Chinese New Year dinner. They only have the new year menu during this period, set prices are $448, $1088, $1188. You can also add extras from one other menu if you want few other dishes or extra seafood etc. Staffs are friendly, food is ok. I found that during normal days the dishes are better portions and better value."
"Nice dinner here. We bought a set meal which came with lobster, a main dish and vegetables and additionally honey chicken. The restaurant had complimentary soup and dessert like at normal Chinese restaurants. The lobster was sweet and tender, but the sauce was a bit watery. The drunken chicken was tasty and paired well with the ginger and scallion sauce. The vegetables were crispy and had soy sauce pronounced in it. The honey chicken was sweet and satisfied my craving. The meal overall was a bit expensive being around $170 for 4 people."
