"They need to clean the tables more often as 10 tables were available all with dirty bowls. They should not use marinated food as the tong will move that marinate over to the next foods. Last thing I would recommend would be to have something with cheese in it. If they can handle these three points then I will truly see it as a no.1 malatang for a five star"

"NSW Food Safety should be on top of this establishment. Flies are everywhere, sitting on uncooked (uncovered) meat and vegetables and there's no measurement of cross contamination. Killed flies are lying on top of their produce, Seafood and red meat are not properly refrigerated. This will be reported."
"Design your own meal from a diverse selection of ingredients of many types of meat, seafood, vegetables and noodles and more. The founders of No1 Malatang wanted to introduce a new concept of food for people looking to order from fast and easy comfort food. While Malatang originally comes from Sichuan cuisine, the food here is more so influenced by Northern China. In these parts, people need to keep warm from the freezing weather. So, their malatang involves soup rather than dry chilli oil. My favourite part is I got to choose or handpick from the large selection available. There was an exceptionally large variety of ingredients all added by myself with tongs to the big bowl provided. This experience being a first for me and l was happy to have a meal without any extra or surprise ingredients among the mix. At the counter I requested a non spicy bone broth soup base as well as ordering a juice. Within a short waiting time my meal was ready. An enjoyable meal, a fun concept, very wholesome and comforting food. No1 Malatang is conveniently located in the McFarland Street entrance to the left within Stocklands, Merrylands."
