About the Business
Welcome to Wonthaggi RSL, located at 60 Graham Street in Wonthaggi, Australia. Our establishment is a point of interest for both locals and visitors, offering a unique combination of food, a restaurant, and a place to gather and connect.
At Wonthaggi RSL, we are committed to providing the best possible support and services to all generations of veterans in Victoria. We understand the challenges facing the veteran community and strive to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for veterans and their families.
We are actively engaged in important discussions surrounding the veteran community. Recently, East Malvern RSL hosted two federal Ministers along with veterans and their families for robust discussions about these challenges. You can read all about it on our website.
We are also closely following the Royal Commission into Defence and Veteran Suicide. Stay updated with the latest developments and information about the Royal Commission on our website, including our submission and a range of support services available.
In addition to our commitment to veterans, we are proud to share the stories of individuals who continue to serve their communities. Meet Dan and Melissa, partners in life who are now lending their passion to the Wonthaggi RSL Sub-Branch.
Preserving history is important to us, and we are honored to be the custodian of the war records of WWII Veteran Alan Clark at the Werribee RSL Sub-Branch. With the help of the Wyndham City Council, we are able to share Alan's records with more people than ever before, preserving a vital part of Victorian wartime history.
We also recognize the incredible service of individuals who not only have ties to the Australian Defence Force but now occupy the essential role of First Responder in their communities. Get to know two extraordinary individuals who find immense reward and personal fulfillment in their work in the emergency services.
Our dedication to honoring the contributions and sacrifices of women is showcased on International Women's Day. We highlight the inspiring stories of women within our network who have made significant impacts.
Lastly, we celebrate the service of veterans like Jocelyn Kelso, who served at the top-secret Monterey base in Albert Park during World War II. At 96 years old, Jocelyn is ready to share her story of service, reminding us of the courage and dedication of those who have served.
Visit Wonthaggi RSL to experience a place that values the past, supports the present, and looks to the future.
