Belgrave Memorial Park Belgrave, Victoria 3160
About the Business
Welcome to Belgrave Memorial Park, an establishment located in the picturesque Yarra Ranges Shire of Victoria, Australia. This park is not just a point of interest, but a place where you can find a range of services and activities to enhance your experience.
For those looking for information on waste collection, we provide details on your specific collection days and what items you can put out for collection. We also encourage you to share your feedback and ideas on current projects, as your input can help shape the future of Yarra Ranges.
If you're interested in exploring your creative side, our experienced tutors Janet Duncan and Cathy Ennis offer guidance in developing various art pieces, from bowls and teapots to gifts and sculptures. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced artist, they will help you create pieces that reflect your interests and passions.
For families and children, we have a special booklet designed to engage young minds with the National Photographic Portrait Prize 2022. Through reading clues, learning fun facts, and providing space for imaginative responses, children can connect their own world to the experiences depicted in the photographs. Additionally, we offer the Art Cart, a free drop-in activity where children can engage in cut and paste crafts related to the exhibition.
We also provide convenient services for reporting issues such as blocked or damaged drains, water runoff, and missed garbage, recycling, or garden organics collections. Your feedback is crucial in helping us maintain a clean and functional environment.
As part of our commitment to sustainability, we are introducing the Food Organics and Garden Organics (FOGO) collection. Starting from October 2, 2023, you can dispose of garden clippings and food scraps, including meat and bones, in your FOGO bin. We will collect your FOGO bin weekly and transform the waste into compost, reducing harmful greenhouse gases. Bin delivery and lid changes will begin in July, leading up to the collection start date.
In addition to these services, we strive to improve and revitalize our community spaces. Currently, we are seeking input from the Belgrave community on how to repurpose the underutilized space at Belgrave Tennis Club for greater community use. Similarly, we invite the community to contribute their ideas for the development of an upcoming draft Masterplan that will guide future improvements in the Upwey town centre.
We are proud to announce that Yarra Ranges Council's Climate Action Team has been named as finalists in two award categories in the 2023 Cities Power Partnership Climate Awards. This recognition highlights our commitment to sustainability and creating a greener future.
At Belgrave Memorial Park, we aim to provide an immersive visitor experience that connects you with the rich food, wine, culture, and scenery of the Yarra Ranges. With a 39-kilometer walking track through the stunning Dandenong Ranges, you can explore and appreciate the natural beauty of our region.
For any inquiries or correspondence, please reach out to Yarra Ranges Shire Council at P.O. Box 105, Anderson Street Lilydale, VIC 3140. We also acknowledge and pay our respects to the Wurundjeri and other Kulin Nations as the Traditional Owners and Custodians of these lands. We share custodianship and are committed to caring for Country together.

"Small respectful park, with pine tree seeded from the original Lone Pine, a rotunda is there too."
"Small memorial park with a few things to look at and some grassy areas. No facilities. No toilets."
"A nice whey stop. Native plants and bird life"
"A quaint memorial park. A bit of resting spot on your travel towards the mountains or heading home. Still remembered with flowers placed often by the memorial. Table and seats for a sit down and a bite to eat. Also enough grass space to kick a footy with the grandchildren. Burwood Highway isn't an intrusion to this corner memorial park."
"Nice park not great place for little kids as you have 2 busy roads either side of the park. No toilets no water access but nice war memorial not alot of parking on Wattle ave"
