"Loved the service and all great food including the curry pasta . Unbelievable taste. Also the selection of red wines were great !"
"A very simple minimalist designed cafe in the heart of camberwell. We requested a window table for our booking which I was really happy they were able to provide. The staff were super friendly and attentive. The menu is very large with lots of options. We did the cheesy garlic bread which is charged per slice ($4). The chips ($15) and although they were nice and crunchy I don’t think it deserves the price tag. I ordered the soba noodles ($35), which was a large serving but again price tag is quite high for what it is. Also ordered the penne amatriciana ($30) and the Atlantic salmon ($40) both really nice dishes. Finished with the carrot cake which was warmed up and served with a lemon cream which was delicious and probably the nicest in presentation. My main takeaways are, presentation is seriously lacking in these dishes, the prices are quite high considering the very plain presentation of their dishes, flavour was still nice in all dishes and service was very friendly."
"Always reliable here! The Salmon Soba Noodle salad is fresh and delicious with a squeeze of lime! Other guests had pasta and said it was lovely."
"Service was great from the get go. My Chai latte was nice and starting out with the best calamari I had in forever, fresh and what I found to be a perfect crumb and fry, I'm definitely coming back for more. Its' accompanying sauce bewildered us that it had the table questioning, what is the recipe? Out of the Spaghetti con Gambaretti all'aglio and Tuscan Garlic Prawn Pasta we had, the latter was my winner for sure. First one had good flavour followed by a fair and subtle spiciness but somehow wasn't as wholesome as second. To end the night with the desserts Creme Brulee and Tiramisu. We found ourselves tagging yet another dish to run back for, the Creme Brulee. Tiramisu is my favourite and my usual go to but I have to give it to the chef who made the Creme Brulee, kudos to you."
"Georges has been around for seemingly a very, very long time and I'd never been before up until two weeks ago. Now I've been twice within two weeks and both times were a big hit for me. It's massive inside, yet though there's plenty of space, if you have your heart set on dining here, it might be best to book as they're always busy and it would help avoid disappointment. It's loud, but to the point where you can still hear yourself think and still have a good conversation with people. Service is good. They show you to your table promptly and hand over the extensive menu. There's a lot to choose from, so if you're wanting pasta or fish or a burger, or a late breakfast, you're bound to find something you're in the mood for. The first time, I had the chicken and mushroom pasta, but I switched it to gnocchi. They were accomodating with the switch and it came out perfectly. The gnocchi was so soft and fresh and the sauce so cheesy and comforting. When I went the following week, I got the chicken burger and it was equally delicious. The crumbed chicken was tasty (with a hint of a curry to it) and the bun so good and the chips perfect. Everyone I dined with loved their meals too. Parking may seem tricky because it's in the middle of the Camberwell shopping precinct, but you can either find a space outside (with a ticket) or out the back there's a good parking lot. It's busy there, so there's always someone coming or going. I find the prices on the menu great for what you get and the meals are a good size. The only possible fault I'd have with them is they do have some items around the bar to eat like muffins and other sweets, but the scones are left out in the open and subject to drying out or having a fly on them potentially. This just doesn't look good as you're up there paying for your meal. But otherwise, this is a new favourite of mine and I want to come back for a breakfast one day or a dinner. Even as I write this, I'm salivating at the thought of my burger and can't wait to come back. I highly recommend."
