"I really highly recommend this shop! They have such an amazing selection of wine and craft beers. The staff are amazing, always smiling, cracking jokes and willing to help. Always such a pleasure! A staple for Balmain locals."
"Mitch helped me out selecting a wine within my price range, he was extremely helpful and the wine was exceptional! A great local bottle shop, highly recommended!!"
"Balmain Wine Shop delivered some care packages for my staff during the Covid19 pandemic. Hayden and his team were amazingly knowledgeable about local spirits and went out of their way to have the deliveries done in time for Thursday drinks. Would highly recommend!"
"Great selection of craft beer however they cannot seem to get their pricing right. A few weeks ago I emailed them as the signs stated "price for 6 cans" when they were suppose to read "price for 4 cans" no response but they have since fixed the issue. Today the special sign said $75 and I was charged $79. Its not about the $4 at this point, it is about your poor business practices."
"I love the guys that work in this shop behind the counter i.e. Hayden + blue haired guy. I was a regular at this 'winery', until tonight. I met the licensee Mathew Walsh who was clearly discriminating against what i was wearing because as i approached the bottle-o i saw another security guy approach him and look at us with a smirk. I understand that i.d is necessary but do you need to be rude about it? and laugh in our face because we forgot our i.d? Hayden knew i was a regular and i said it to him as well. He then proceeded on and said Hayden was going to get a 'warning' for not asking for i.d? when he does regularly. Also which bottle shop that you visit on the regular would ask for your i.d every time. Absolutely disgusted in his misogynistic behaviour. I spend big dollars in this shop, so do my friends and now BWS will become my regular bottle shop. I'll be taking this issue up with the liquor and gaming NSW."
