"Check your docket!! This place significantly overcharged me! Today I went there and bought imperfect tomatoes (marked as $3.99kg) and eggplants ($2.99kg). I thought my bill was a bit expensive so I checked the itemised prices when I got to the car park. They charged me $9.99/kg for eggplants and $5.90kg for tomatoes. I had to return to the same cashier to query the overcharge. I was blamed by the cashier of using a clear plastic bag to put the veggies in and I was told I should have put them into a green plastic bag for imperfect veggies. There was no plastic bags near the imperfect veggies and I had to go to a different section to get some bags. Who would have known imperfect veggies need to be put into green plastic bags and perfect ones need to be put into clear plastic bags ? And why it is the customer’s fault and deserve to be charged 3 times more for goods? Were there any signs in the shop of which bag to use for which fruit and veggie? There was none. This is ridiculous!! I probably have been overcharged previously by this shop without knowing. I will not shop here again!"
"I don’t mind paying a premium for what is often quality food. I don’t mind having to decipher the misleading 2 for $4 (or $2 each in fine print) signs but having to queue 20+ deep to get out of the store is a joke, worse when they’re hiring young/cheap labour."
"When I walked into the Harris Farm at Randwick, my eyes lit up. As a foodie it made me feel like I had walked into the mecca of food lovers paradise. Every single row of fresh produce is full high quality produce and looks fresh. The store is well laid out and the team members are friendly and knowledgeable. I found some really unique and cool ingredients like Australian finger limes and Jerusalem artichokes in stock. It is rare for me to feel so excited about a fruit shop, one may say ‘you have seen one and you have seen them’. Wrong. Try this Harris farm and you will see what I’m on about."
"Used to shop here after work as the hygiene is appalling. A lot of the greens were not green. Meats and fish left out for sale way out of date. I’ve had to pull stuff off the shelves on several occasions now I’ve stopped going there. There is always enough staff around just wondering what they’re occupied with. To me it looks badly managed compared to other Harris Farm markets. I couldn’t help but to wonder if my food is still ok and when paying a premium for so called market fresh produce I don’t want to feel that way. Also, as in other HF they allow too much plastic to pack their fresh produce (eg cucumbers, bananas)."
