"I experienced unprofessional customer service at the Chemist Warehouse in Double Bay. I'd already been to a couple of locations looking for a popular item (as there was the option to price match it with a good deal on the Coles website). Before going to the Double Bay store which is out of my way, I called ahead to make sure the product was in stock. I was advised by a friendly pharmacist that there were a couple in stock. When I arrive at the store, the first staff member I speak to tells me it's not in stock. When I explain I spoke to the pharmacist on the phone advising me otherwise, I'm directed to the pharmacist and handed the item. At the checkout, the first staff member now tells me Chemist Warehouse doesn't price match (??). I question this and she goes to check with the pharmacist. The staff member comes back telling me I can't have it because it was on hold for another customer (?). A minute later the pharmacist follows with yet another reason, that the item was faulty. I don't see why I was given the item in the first place if either of these reasons were true. I don't know for sure, but I suspect it may have something to do with it being a large discount on a pricier item, once it is price matched, and this store wanting to meet certain quota/profit. The staff members were apologetic, and I understand human errors happen. Yet I'm disappointed I wasted 1 hour commuting coming to the store, after clearly being advised the item was in stock. Then being told various reasons as to why I can't have it, after it was already handed to me. Unfortunately I felt it was quite unprofessional and won't be coming back."

"Great range of products just don’t go there for scripts. Ok if you are happy to wait half hour or more - this chemist warehouse in Double Bay does not seem to be able or willing to adjust staffing to meet demand, doesn’t matter what time of day it is always the same. Staff are wonderful but make mistakes because of the pressure- my poor hubby overcharged on several transactions because of an error of staff entering up his DVA number. So on top of all the waiting times we now have to work out if iwe can claim back -$200 overcharge:)"
