About the Business
Welcome to Bilpin Fruit Bowl, the most iconic business in the Hawkesbury district of Australia. Owned and operated by Simon & Margaret Tadrosse since 1985, Bilpin Fruit Bowl is a must-visit destination for locals and tourists alike.
Situated at Bilpin, Bells Line of Road, our establishment is not just a cafe or a store, but a true food paradise and a point of interest for those seeking the best of Australian produce. With our four children, three daughters, and one son, all actively involved in the business, Bilpin Fruit Bowl is a family affair where passion for agriculture and culinary delights come together.
Our shop is open seven days a week from 8.00 am till 5.00 pm, with the exception of Christmas Day. Step inside and you'll find a treasure trove of local delights. We stock local honey, homemade jams, souvenirs, cider from local cellar doors, apple juice, candles, pottery, and of course, an abundance of fresh fruit and seasonal summer fruits. But that's not all - our shop is also a bakery, where we create our famous apple pies, meat pies, cakes, scones, and slices. During the summer months, we offer peach pies made from peaches grown right here in our orchard. And when cherries, blueberries, mangoes, apricots, and raspberries are in season, you can treat yourself to a tantalizingly fresh baked pie.
But the Bilpin Fruit Bowl experience doesn't stop at our shop. We are proud to announce the completion of the largest Pick Your Own Strawberry farm in the Hawkesbury. With nearly 100,000 strawberry plants, we now offer strawberry picking every weekend, and if we have an abundance of strawberries, we're open during the week too. Keep an eye on our Facebook page for updates on picking availability. And don't worry about the weather - our strawberry farm is covered, making it an all-weather activity.
In addition to strawberries, we grow a wide variety of fruits that are available for picking between the end of November and the end of June. Check our Facebook page for weekly updates on what's ripe and ready to be picked. And if you're a fan of fresh, chemical-free vegetables, we've got you covered too. Our farm boasts zucchini, squash, cucumbers, eggplants, broccoli, chillies, capsicum, and red and green lettuce. Stay tuned to our Facebook page for updates on vegetable availability.
As animal lovers, we also have a large rescue chicken shed where we've provided a safe haven for over 400 chickens and roosters. These happy hens roam freely during the day and provide us with delicious eggs, which you can find in both our shop and farm shop.
So whether you're craving a delectable pie, eager to pick your own strawberries, or simply want to immerse yourself in the beauty of Australian agriculture, Bilpin Fruit Bowl is the ultimate destination. Come and experience the taste of freshness and the warmth of our family-run business.

Reviews
"The pies are very nice but not cheap so is a bit of a tourist trap in that respect. You can pick your own fruit when in season for a fee which is pretty cool. I stop in whenever I drive past on the way to my mums and the kids love it. They have toilets for paying customers but not modern or well kept. I would recommend checking it out."
"The place needed some love as it looked dated, and the kids' rides were not particularly safe for modern standards. But nevertheless, the kids had a good time picking their own fruits, which was the main reason for their road trip. The staff at the shop were friendly enough with a big queue they had."
"It was a quick stop off on the way home but there is a lot to look at. They have delicious food and lots of gifts for sale. The staff are very friendly."
"Nice place and beatiful scenery. All the staff are so freindly. You can pick apple and eat them while picking. Entrance fee is 5AUD per head. You need to pay for the apples you pick though for 5AUD per kilo."
