Originally built in 1924 as a soldier's memorial hall, The Memo holds a special place in the hearts of locals. It has been a witness to countless wonderful memories, magical cinema experiences, youthful romance, and elegant debutante balls.

In 2012, The Memo underwent a revitalization project, which included a modern extension designed by the award-winning architect Greg Burgess. The redesign beautifully reflects the spirit of a connected community focused on creativity, the future, and the stunning natural surroundings.

One of the highlights at The Memo is the current exhibition called "Canopy by Makers Merge." This group exhibition explores the value of trees through textiles, inspiring visitors to take action in securing urban biodiversity for future generations.

But The Memo is not just about exhibitions. It is a place where stories come to life. Imagine Barbie and Ken stepping out of their colorful and seemingly perfect world of Barbie Land, only to discover the joys and perils of living among humans. Or picture a group of close friends from Ballygar, dreaming of tasting freedom by winning a pilgrimage to the sacred French town of Lourdes. These captivating stories and more unfold on the stages of The Memo.

When you visit The Memo, you can enjoy snacks and refreshments before and after the show at the bar. Please note that there is no designated car park, but a public car park is conveniently located on the corner of Green and River Streets.
