"Since covid and reopening bistro, service was terrible, we'd booked, didn't have it, even when we told them the date, time and no. of people. Managed to find us a table! Quality of food has also deteriorated, both meals were awful. If we return, hope it has improved."
"Great place to eat good food. But some committee members should learn a bit of respect. Insulting my father in front of me, in a venue that I couldn't defend. Ignore general conversation with officials. As they may have issues spanning 30 years ago."
"Great food and service... we had a group of 9 people we all got different meals and it was all fantastic. Kids meals come out first which was terrific as we could feed the kids first and once the adult meals arrived we could eat them while the kids coloured in some drawings they supplied. The Lasagne was fantastic. The other meals we got were Porterhouse Steak cooked perfectly, chicken snitz & the fish and chips. Service was great and in fact one of the kids left a couple of hot wheel cars and they called the next day to say they had been found. Definitly will be back, next time I'm going to have to try a Maltese dish. Food and drinks also very reasonably priced."
"Booked a family birthday dinner on the 13TH. Was told on the day they had drag bingo on and we would be in the bistro. We ordered and paid to be told after that the menus was not available. We then ordered off the alternative menu which was basically Pizza pasta and kids meals. We then had to put up with members on a table possing with drag queens for photos, which did wonders for the atmosphere of a dinner. No Maltese menu which is why we went there in the first place, all be it a choice of just 3 dishes. The pizza was oily and burnt. The service was poor, and a milkshake ordered took an hour to hit the table. Never again, this once good eating spot has reduced the Maltese cuisine to 3 dishes. Where are dishes like Roast, baked rice, baked macaroni? SGC is shifting away from it's origins unfortunately."
"Food looked nice. Pizza amazing, but the seafood platter was too light on seafood. Very quiet when we went so the staff were talkative and very friendly. Was only a few customers at lunch, it's hopefully busier at night"
