IGA Abbotsford 302 Great North Road, Wareemba, New South Wales 2046

"I have shopped here over the last couple of months out of sheer necessity, otherwise I would not be a regular customer here. I had to review this IGA as it has proven to disappoint on almost every visit and actually, they shouldn't receive any stars at all. They have questionable business practices, including and not limited to; staff choosing to not speak English amongst themselves and this can make some customers feel uncomfortable especially at the time of service and creates an unnecessary atmosphere, additionally as they are not pleasant to customers - no expression of familiarity or friendliness, they try to avoid packing your own personal shopping bags, they dislike customers that ask for the receipt; there is an employee there that may add an "additional charge" to your final total if they don't like you questioning why their fruit & vege scales are not correct! Choosing not to man the rear check out - causes customer frustration and a lengthy line up at the store front entry. I was present when a customer attempting to engage with their staff about a product she had a question on, but the customer's enquiry was ignored, then rudely waved off with an equally rude "I don't know" responce....poor show IGA Abbotsford. It's a business run and staffed by people who are essentially impolite and without personality or care. Well done to so many OTHER IGA's that provide their communities with a great attitude and service."

"Its overpriced in more ways that one. Always check your receipt as they make mistakes - was charged $5.99 for green onions instead of $1.99. Not the first time there has been mistakes."

"Used to be very good a few years ago but pretty terrible now, employees are very unhelpful, boxes everywhere, staff constantly running around bumping into customers, won’t get out of your way or move boxes out of aisles, really become and bit of a mess the past 5 years. Better off going to Drummoyne IGA or coles up the Rd both are 5 mins away and both are much better."

"Continually selling expired products, 2nd time this year I’ve purchased something expired from this IGA. Lucky I noticed because I’m sure plenty of people don’t and end up eating it….they need to be investigated by the health department or something"

"Be very careful, as the young staff on two occasions have charged me for cigarettes, then when pulled up, they look at each other, how did that happen. Very poor the fact the owner allows these sort of people to run there front of house."
