"Woolworths Penrith is one of the larger woolworths store. I like how spread out the store is with a very large front opening. Penrith always holds a bit of wow for me with the beautiful blue mountains surrounding it which is more beautiful than a painting."
"Deli staff need to be retrained on customer service! There were 3 people in front of me it took staff 7 minutes to acknowledge anyone at the front, yes your hot chickens are important but a simple acknowledgment goes along way (hi, I won’t be a moment) instead of staring & saying nothing. I also saw a staff member handle seafood not wearing gloves or wash her hands after then went ahead and handled raw chicken and deli meats! (that’s how people can get sick from cross contamination) sorry but a piece of plastic bag between your hands & the meats, it’s absolutely not good enough! Rather go elsewhere at lest the staff smile and acknowledge the customers!!"
"Woolworths St Marys. Use to be great place to shop. It's been given a refit inside and let me tell you it' has not improved the store at all. I myself am lactose intolerant and Gluten free quiet a number of products I buy weekly are gone all in the name for sacrifice of space. The new fridge cabinets do not hold as much product there is less products on display on some things and a abundance of others. I myself will only buy Rib eye steak or eye fillet yet there's barely any ever there and when there is there's no mid size cuts they are all 350g and above... last 5 yrs I've been buying 300 and under every second week if not every week. I finally found two stores that sold Oak lactose free chocolate milk St Marys and Penrith I aint going to Penrith just for that, Since refit the flavoured milk area is about a 1/4 of what it was and Lactose free Oak first product gone. The deli is a fraction of its size and has little variety at all. The woolies bake house bread has changed and now the option on offer is with a capital G Garbage its dry and stale by next day. And I've noticed some products have gone up dramatically I have even questioned prices between St Narys Penrith Mt Druit St Claire stores."
"Clean shops with plenty of staff to help you should you need it. Wide selection of products and always seems fully stocked. Veggie and fruit section was clean and presentable."
"Stocked well most times. Not everyone can shop at earlier hours so evenings,7 pm onwards is the only option. Big should out to the night-fill gentlemen who wear glasses that works in the perishables section. He is always very curtious and friendly. His work area is clear of any debris and obstructions like pallets or trolleys. Can't say the same for the other areas, I've seen empty pallets in the middle of the floor, stood upright leaning against loaded pallets, and just stood upright on its own. Pallet jacks and stock trolleys left in the middle of the floor, loaded pallet jacks being pulled though out the store, even electric ones. Verbal communication from the staff, such as excuse me, sorry, passing through, is all that is needed. Not all customers understand how hard it is to come to a complete stop pushing, pulling loaded trolleys or pallet jacks. Instead, the staff just carry on, not even making any eye contact. Unfortunately, sale price tags are removed on the final night of sale, which causes a lot of confusion and hesitation on purchasing items that are advertised on sale up to Wednesday. Sale tags should be removed after closing so the customers can get most of the sales available. I picked up an item advertised as 1/2 price, and the price displayed was full price. This wasn't a case of the tags fallen off. I've seen piled up scrunched sale tags on the floor, in bags, or even in empty cartons besides stockers trolleys. When scanned at registers, I was charged the advertised 1/2 price."
