"Group of my friends did the ghost tour and it was good for the history, but it was otherwise disappointing on the “ghost” aspect… The tour guide would mostly talk about OTHER guests in OTHER tours having weird things happening to them, and basically skip over the interesting history to tell us about a guest’s reaction 2 months ago while the rest of the group was dead quiet and nobody spoke up and said they felt weird. He was a good storyteller but you can tell he was trying to force a feeling into the group by talking in detail about other people’s discomfort. It was exhausting and borderline dehumanising real people’s stories for entertainment. Guide enjoyed the sound of his own voice rather than letting us listen and take in the atmosphere. Wouldn’t recommend, unless you’d like to go on a nearly 3 hour walk with a group of strangers near some nice views and some heritage buildings!"
"My experience with the Q Station After Dark Tour was nothing short of a complete disappointment. It was an absolute waste of time, money, and effort. The tour was utterly boring, devoid of any scares or thrills that were promised. It's clear that the entire concept of this tour is a sham, designed to trick unsuspecting visitors into spending their hard-earned money on a nonsensical and fraudulent experience. I cannot express enough how disappointed I am with the lacklustre and deceitful nature of this so-called haunted tour. Save yourself the agony and avoid this place at all costs. It's nothing more than a pathetic scam, and I would strongly advise against falling for their deceptive tactics. All their reviews on YouTube and other places are 100% fake."
"Our family did this tour last night and it was awesome. I was unsure what to expect but the history of the quarantine station is so interesting and there were definitely some unusual things happen with no explanation during the tour . Different spots made me feel very uncomfortable. Our guide Amy was excellent and her knowledge made it more interesting. I would definitely recommend this tour"
"I recommend people to go on this tour, I found it to be more of a history tour. The Guide was amazing, she was very passionate about the job and shared interesting stories about each building. It goes for 2.5 hours, you arrive at Reception and their shuttle bus takes you down to the Q Station which is very close to the water. If you go during winter, I recommend taking a beany, gloves and scarf, it was absolutely freezing even with Boots and Winter Coat. Also make sure you check the time of the last ferry if that is your travel option as we almost missed the last one. There was about 20 people in our group. They have a Toilet on site at the beginning of the tour and if you need to go during the tour, just ask. They have the Boilerhouse Restaurant, if you go early, perhaps make a reservation or grab a drink if you are early. They seem to be very busy. I rated 4 because I was not really afraid which is no fault of the place or guide so if you have high expectations, dont, go in with an open mind as I did and hopefully YOU get spooked!"
"My two sons and I went to the Ghostly Encounters Tour at 9pm. The weather was cloudy and really set the scene for us. We were so so excited. Our tour guide was Jake. Jake was exceptionally knowledgeable. He was really phenomenal at story telling and hearing about the history of the Q station kept us engaged for the whole tour. The tour ran over time but it literally went so quick we would have stayed longer. I experienced two scary encounters. One in the shower. My hair literally stood up on the back of my neck. I felt uneasy in one of the cottages as did others. I would highly recommend this tour. We had a great night and my sons and I spoke about it for the hour drive home. Jake is the reason we are booking again later in the year."
