"Great going on all the ships and submarine. The inside museum was good as well with the photographer of the year exhibition. Although if the exhibition wasn't there then there would be that much. I feel like there could be more in there about Australian naval history."
"A great place to spend a day with the family, or by yourself. It is jam packed with information and in fun ways it has been presented. I've been a few times, with years between my visits, and I always learn amazing facts. The staff are always ready to help and explain, and share their own interpretation. The location couldn't be better, easy to get there and move around the exhibits. There is a Cafe with lots of tasty treats. Something for everyone. The entry price is a bargain for what you receive."
"What an awesome experience! Love looking through different types of vessels and seeing what on board life was like. The Lego displace was full and well built. Also, the wildlife photographer displace was spectacular."
"The Australian National Maritime Museum is a treasure trove for ship enthusiasts of all ages! From old-time large sail ships to a modern naval destroyer, a submarine, and even a replica of Captain Cook's legendary ship, the Endeavour, there's an impressive collection of vessels to explore. The museum offers a captivating showcase of Australian maritime history, with knowledgeable staff available to provide information and assistance. It's a perfect day out for families with kids, as well as for those who are young at heart. Even if you're not particularly interested in ships, you'll still learn something new and fascinating during your visit. The museum itself is worth exploring, with exhibits featuring nautical artifacts, art exploring the sea, and insights into marine conservation. The museum boasts two floors of amazing displays, including old maps, navigating equipment, exciting stories, and captivating artifacts. Special exhibits, like the National Geographic Wildlife Photographer of the Year, are also on display and are sure to capture the imagination of kids. The location is convenient, just across the walking bridge from many restaurants and shops at Darling Harbour, making it a perfect day out with plenty of dining options. Keep in mind that wait times may be longer on weekends, school holidays, or public holidays, but the experience is well worth the price of admission. With five ships to explore and a wealth of exhibits to discover, it's a must-visit for anyone interested in maritime history and culture. Highly recommended for families and anyone looking for an enriching outing!"
