"Well-run canteen-style cafeteria/bakery with very affordable counter meals, eat-in, take away, not specialty coffee but crank an extra shot for the caffeine hit. Indoor and outdoor seating. Take a number. Meals brought to your table. No frills, practical service. Pies, sandwiches, pasta, risotto, quiche, salads, burgers, chips, standard Aussie bakery fare with a few twists and influences. Peninsula-style vanilla slice - thick and creamy. Baklava too! We had an egg sandwich, risotto with homemade meatballs (rissoles) and chips and nuggets, a can of sprite and two lattes (one with an extra shot) for $32! Kewpie mayo or mustard on the egg sandwich would’ve been nicer than the sickly sweet Aussie mayo but it’s a small detail. It was still fresh and delicious. Definitely a solid place for cheap, cheerful and filling meals and good service."
"Ordered lunch for 2, 50 mins later staff start packing up around us and still no food (plenty of staff so that wasn’t an issue), forgot our meal and had turned off cooking facilities so gave me a chicken focaccia. Dry, smothered with way too much red onions. Wasn’t a great experience at all unfortunately."
