About the Business
Welcome to Cheltenham Veterinary Clinic, located on Nepean Highway in Cheltenham, Australia. Since 1981, our dedicated team of professionals has been providing exceptional veterinary care for pets in the City of Kingston area and its surrounding suburbs.
Founded by Dr Chris Roach, Cheltenham Veterinary Clinic was later purchased by Dr David Stasiuk and Dr David Wilson in 2010. With their extensive experience and knowledge gained from practicing in the UK and Australia, they have continued to uphold the clinic's vision of making people and their pets happier and healthier.
Our primary focus is on preventative care to maintain the health of your beloved pet. We believe in fostering a strong bond between you and your furry friend, ensuring that your time together is enjoyable, rewarding, and long-lasting. Whether it's routine check-ups, vaccinations, or specialized treatments, our team is committed to providing the highest quality of care.
As a full-service clinic, we offer a comprehensive range of veterinary services and products for small animal pets. Our onsite laboratory, radiography, ultrasound, and external laboratory facilities allow us to accurately diagnose and treat various diseases and conditions. Additionally, we have a surgical suite equipped for routine to advanced soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries.
At Cheltenham Veterinary Clinic, we understand that emergencies can happen at any time. That's why we offer appointments seven days a week and prioritize emergency cases to ensure your pet receives immediate care when needed. We also provide house calls for those who prefer the convenience of being seen in the comfort of their own home.
We are proud to be a member of the International Society of Feline Medicine (ISFM), demonstrating our commitment to providing top-notch care for our feline patients. In fact, our expertise in veterinary care led to our selection by Seeing Eyedogs Australia (SEDA) to care for the health and medical needs of their puppies in training.
One of the most common issues affecting pets is dental disease. We specialize in dental treatments and procedures, ensuring that your pet's oral health is well-maintained.
Located in the heart of Cheltenham, our clinic is easily accessible to residents of Mentone, Parkdale, Black Rock, Sandringham, Dingley Village, Highett, Beaumaris, Moorabbin, Aspendale Gardens, Heatherton, Mordialloc, Hampton, Brighton, Bentleigh, and their surrounding areas.

"We switched to Cheltenham Vets after a terrible experience with a different vet nearby. Dr Stasiuk and his team have been so kind and caring. We had to make the heart breaking decision to put our beautiful elderly Great Dane to sleep recently. Dr Stasiuk took such great care of her and was so supportive. He advised us about a home euthanasia service so our baby could pass peacefully in the comfort of our home. We feel so much comfort knowing she was cared for so well by the Team at Cheltenham Vets, and have been so touched by the kindness shown to us following her passing. If you are looking for a good caring Vet, this is definitely the place to go."
"I took my big puppy Oscar to check his twisted arm a month ago, Dr Cindy gave him a nice and patient check. Also translated some difficult words into Chinese for me on computer, made me fully understand what happened to my puppy and how to treat him well at home. I did it according to Dr Cindy’s advice and Oscar recovered in only one week. I kept doing in two weeks as Dr Cindy said and Oscar now is fully recovered and back to a normal big boy as usual. Many thanks to Cheltenham Vet clinic and Dr Cindy. Highly recommended!"
"The best most welcoming vet. Everytime I have taken my kitty to this vet they feel like family. They all show such a genuine care for all animals and patients. Every visit has been rewarding for my kitty and I always have peace of mind knowing she is in the hands of such kind professionals. I now live in the city and still make the trip down to this vet! A big thank you! Boodhi and Tara xx"
"We have been with Cheltenham Vet Clinic for over 13 years now. I have always understood that there are Vet clinics that treat their practice as a business and then there are those that have a genuine love for the animals in their care. Cheltenham Vet is most definitely the later, with a team of amazing staff who treat my dogs with love and respect. Our primary vet, David S has given two of our now sadly departed bulldogs the absolute best care they could possibly have had throughout their lives. There has never been a push for unnecessary procedures, tests or surgeries and any that did need to be performed (especially with Barney’s complicated health history) were referred on to an in-house bulldog vet or a specialist surgical practice if David felt that this would be safer for a brachy breed. The brief time we did stray to a specialist bulldog vet practice on misguided advice and the belief that a “Bulldog” clinic may be better, there was a world of difference in the personalised approach to animal care and level of compassion we received. Although in no way “bad”, it did feel like a bit of an animal production line situation where the vet never recognised me nor my pet. We soon returned to Cheltenham where I trust implicitly that David and team always have my dogs best interests at heart. Thank you so much for taking care of Oscar yesterday morning and letting him cross the rainbow bridge with dignity, patience and compassion even though we did not have an appointment. He was comfortable and loved by everyone in the room until his very last breath. Thank you also for the beautiful flowers and card received this afternoon, they were very much appreciated. We will continue to bring Monty and any other future pets to Cheltenham as we know the level of care will be the best in Melbourne."
"I cannot speak highly enough of Cheltenham Vet Clinic and would recommend them to anyone seeking a vet clinic that provides the utmost care for your pets. Dr David Stasiuk has looked after my two beautiful british short hair cats Ruprecht and Sookie from when I first got them. On one particular occasion my cat Sookie was horrifically mauled by a dog and had to undergo emergency surgery and a facial reconstruction. The whole team so so quick to respond and attend to her needs, and Dr Stasiuk not only saved her life, but performed a very complicated and delicate surgery that involved having to reattach her skin back to her jaw. Now you could never tell that she has even experienced any kind of trauma as she has healed up beautifully and was back to the same Sookie we knew and loved within a few weeks. I am so grateful to Dr Stasiuk for his amazing surgical skills and his wonderful team for their continued support and care of my beloved fur babies!"
