"Arthur's is a classic old school establishment. He takes his time and you can really feel a sense of craft and pride in the way he goes about his work. None of this "quick cuts" chain style stuff where it's in and out in 5 minutes. He's a quiet man of few words but enough to understand the haircut I want. I myself like to relax while I get a haircut - by not having to say too much, so, this works perfect for me. I get the sense he's a man with a lot of stories to tell and his shop is decorated with a lot of different posters, pictures (mainly of Greece) and certificates. All and all a sweet man who takes pride in his craft and reminds me of my grandfather. All this aside , $15 is an absolute bargain price for a haircut no matter how you look at it. I don't know if he's on the most cutting edge, trendy complicated hairstyles (worth a shot?) But I'm sure he can pull off everything else."
"I just found this place after moving to the area. It's a step back in time with things from the 50s to the 90s and nothing newer, including the prices. Arthur is a no nonsense guy, who doesn't say much but it's a refreshing change to all the silly conversation you'd normally get. He gave me the best hair cut I've had in years and for $15 (standard men's prices). I've tried lots of cheap places but Arthur does a wonderful job. I've paid more and received no better at other fancy places either. Now I get my hair cut and go for a swim around the corner, a great central location my new barber, for sure.
