About the Business
Welcome to The Pantry Manly, located at the water's edge of the world-famous Manly beach in Australia. As an establishment that combines food, point of interest, and restaurant, we are the ultimate day-to-night dining destination.
At The Pantry Manly, we pride ourselves on offering a menu focused on fresh, local, and seasonal produce, providing a taste of modern Australia. Whether you're in the mood for succulent meat dishes, freshly caught seafood, or sharing plates, our menu has something for everyone. And to complement your meal, we offer an extensive wine, craft beer, and cocktail list.
The history of our location adds to the charm of our establishment. Manly's famous "Beach House" was originally built in 1919 and served as a tea house and change rooms for locals and tourists. Over the years, it has undergone transformations and in 1997 became the restaurant known as Manly Ocean Beach House. In November 2010, it was renamed The Pantry Manly, continuing the tradition of catering to both locals and international visitors, who come to experience the infamous Manly vibe.
Start your day off right with our delicious breakfast menu, featuring classics like buttermilk pancakes with candied walnuts and eggs Benedict, as well as some unique twists. And if you're looking for a memorable lunch or dinner, our extensive menu offers everything from fresh seafood to handmade pastas, charcuterie, and grass-fed steaks. With a stunning view overlooking Manly Beach, The Pantry Manly sets the perfect backdrop for any occasion.
Speaking of occasions, we also offer event spaces that overlook the beach. Whether you're planning a private dinner party, a corporate function, or a wedding reception, our hands-on event team is ready to cater to your needs. We can also accommodate dietary requirements and tailor menus to suit your guest preferences.

"My friend and I had a lovely lunch here overlooking Manly beach, on a beautiful sunny winter's day. I had a very tasty spaghettini with crab and prawns while my friend thoroughly enjoyed her rack of lamb. We shared the caramelised garlic bread as entree and a bottle of Tattinger Champagne as we toasted to our July and August birthdays. We further spoiled ourselves by finishing with a dessert each. I had the pavlova which was a light & airy meringue topped with fresh cream and fresh fruit. My friend had the banoffee pie which she said was delicious. I certainly want to return. Maybe next time I will bring my husband."
"Nice little place, I had the farmer loaf, which was lovely. Initially I went in to get a window table overlooking the beach but they were booked out(probably best to book them in advance). A little bit pricey for my liking, so I didn't tip, at these prices they can afford to pay their staff well. Staff were very efficient & helpful. Perfect location on manly beach."
"5-stars - great food, great ambience, and topped up with fantastic service. Had breakfast with colleagues, and greatly enjoyed our time spent here. The view from the cafe is to die for. Suitable for couples, friends, and family with kids as well. The staff are just so lovely and attentive. Take a stroll at the beach or shop around, and wind up your day with a lovely lunch or brunch at this place. Trust me, you will return for more!"
"Very nice place and well located with a direct view on the ocean of you are lucky enough to get one of the few tables which have the view. Service is standard however the prices are very high and the quality of the food is very low. I would not recommend the place."
"A bit expensive, but absolutely worth the price. Beautiful bay view, great breeze. Very pleasant aesthetic, music was ambient but never overwhelming. The mint came through the halloumi and accented it beautifully. The garlic bread was fantastically oiled and crispy. Service was prompt and attentive. Starters came out with the cocktails. The signature cocktails were delicious. Mains came out ~15 minutes after we finished our starters, plenty of time to digest. Our mains were two orders of the king prawn salad, and a free range chicken supreme. The mash was smooth and delicious, flavorful and kept the sauce well. The parm covered everything and was present without being overwhelming. The chicken was tender and moist and paired well with everything. The prawn salad came with yet more halloumi, and was well coated in citrus dressing, which complemented the walnuts and prosciutto. The prawns were perfect. The avocado provided an excellent contrast."
