"-Every other month there is a new building manager who basically does nothing. All of the building managers were arrogant, rude and unprofessional, they never did the right booking for the meeting room nor the lounge. - They don’t return bond no matter what you do they will find their ways to take as much as they can from the bond. - the current building manager took 2 fobs from me and lied about it. - MRE don’t acknowledge our requests, they are so unprofessional and unethical. Don’t live there if you care about your lifestyle and money."
"The worst building to live in South Melbourne and the worst real estate (MRE) to deal with. Thief come and go. One day I countered a thief on the roof top and he chased me to the stairs and the building management did nothing. They changed 5 building managers only in 1 year from mid 2022-mid 2023… the current building manager Ashish is a liar and rude, he lied that he didn’t take the fobs while he did! MRE is taking my bond despite I did end of lease cleaning twice and paid for everything to be perfect and better than the dusty 3 bedrooms we rented for 1 year. Still, they troubled us with random invoices to take the bond. Sean is the one who doesn’t respond to emails and just ignored all of our requests when we were explaining that all the work has been done and it’s not fair to take our bond of 4300$ ! I wish that I never lived there and never dealt with MRE who literally steal money by charging unjustified invoices after end of lease!!! DON’T LIVE THERE PEOPLE SPECIALLY IF YOU ARE NOT AUSTRALIAN"
"If you live here, don’t bother to do any cleaning/ painting cuz your deposit will never be returned. They always have an excuse to keep it. When We first got the apartment, it so dirty and dusty, my kid got sick and went to hospital. A year later when We left the apartment after a complete deep cleaning (twice) yet they lied about certain things (and they are willing to argue back and fourth with you). Just to keep every penny of your deposit. The dishwasher was not working for almost 2 months, no one got it repaired until we left the apartment! The building manager is another issue, they had that role filled by 4 different people within a year.. all of them were useless. If you are a foreigner or new to the country, don’t rent there.. they will use anything against you after ripping your money. Cameras in each floor were only installed after our neighbor’s door was opened by a stranger (she was alone with her kid in the house when someone tried to open the door!!) Weirdos come and go to the rooftop, so be careful.. I booked the lounge for my kid’s birthday, and was assured it will be for our guests only and clean, yet I was surprised on the party day by how unclean the venue was - alcohol cups left behind, bathroom stinks, and all the residents could enter the lounge cuz whatever they promised was just not delivered.. how can you do that when kids are around? Why promote the building as everything works when there’s nth is actually true!"
"My family of three (plus a dog) lived in an apartment with 2 bedroom and 2 toilets between Jun 2022 to Jun 2023. Good things: 1. We were the first tenant in our apartment so everything is new and clean. 2. The location is fantastic. There are amenities such as Coles, Woolies, South Melbourne Market, cafes within 5-10 min walk. The park nearby is good for walking our dog. Tram stops are also within 5 min walk. Not-So-Good things: 1. The rent is quite high - i was paying $700 a week and it was set to increase in the coming period. Despite the high rent, the building has not much to offer - there was no security guard or concierge (despite the agent saying that they were arranging for it since a year ago), there was no swimming pool and the gym is tiny. 2. Unlike other building in the CBD, you need to pay a not-small sum of $150 to book the common room. 3. In our one year there, three building managers came and go. This resulted in some negligence in maintenance. I had emailed the building manager for some simple maintenance but did not hear back for two months. After I moved out, the agent wanted to deduct my bond for these issues (i eventually got the agent to drop these as i have proof of the emails to the building manager)."
"One of the best buildings I have ever lived in Melbourne. It’s a new building with a high security technology. The building manager, Ian Thompson, is collaborative and friendly. I also recommend Stephen and Kate. They are great agents."
