"I've been going there since the mid 1970s. Just as good. Same people! Well...some of them."
"They lied by not updating their website so they charged us extra, they tried to charge us extra several times (by up to 40% extra compared to promised), and did the worst packing in human history. All of our food was covered in sauce because of their subpar packing. I remember this place being awesome years ago, but now it is embarrassing. If you live on the Northern Beaches, don’t go to this place for Chinese. If you’re reading this, you guys have fallen to a new low."
"The Hong Kong Chinese Restaurant has been a staple of Newport dining since the 70s. Still a great place to dine in or take away. I highly recommend Deep Fried Fillets of Pork Pekingese Style - yum!"

"Just tried this place for our first time since living in the area for 20 years. I’m so glad we did it’s great ! Old school Australia Chinese vibes, which is such a nice throw back to our childhoods. You can alter many dishes to be vegetarian if you wish, they are very flexible. The lady working has worked there for almost 50 years ! And she’s great at her job. Can’t wait to go back and try more dishes. Apologies the only photo I have is half way through the meal."
