Doitaothai Boronia Park Hunters Hill

"Went there 23-7-23 @3:40pm. Asked if they were open for eat in. W as advised that they will shut at 4pm for an hour break. I kindly asked if the two of us could eat in as we knew what we wanted, have eaten here multiple times before. We ordered one chicken pad se ew, one chicken mince bowl, one yummy beef salad an one roti duck pancake. The chicken pad se ew was good. The chicken mince bowl was completely overpowered by one of their sauces and salt. This was left there after two bites. The yummy beef salad tasted like BO and was also left. The roti duck pancake was falling apart and drowned in sauce. We get these dishes often from this place and were so disappointed. The service was rude and in a complete rush. We also left at 3:55pm. If they couldn't accommodate us, they should of advised us. But instead we got rude hasty service to the point that we couldn't move out of the way fast enough to have the food placed on the table. Now, from what we have noticed is that there appears to be two different crews that work there. One that is so polite and attentive with some of Sydney's best Thai food. The other might be the relief crew on the days the primary crew have off. I don't know with certainty but we've been coming here for some time and have noticed this pattern. This has happened a couple of times before and have not said anything to anyone. But this is too much. Unfortunately Doitao Thai is unbelievable when they're on their game. But when these other staff members are on, this place is garbage. I'm so sorry about this review but this is me being honest. I can't justify $92 spent to leave most if it behind."

"Kept on coming back to this place. The service we get from the lady has been above average considering there were also other customers in. :) We love the fried chicken and fried rice on their lunch menu. Could be enough for sharing (2 pax) if not that hungry! The sweet and sour sauce went well with the crispy, lightly battered and perfectly cooked&seasoned chicken breast. Their pad thai tasted a bit different from what we expected, maybe their own version, nonetheless it’s still good to try and serving was (again) good for two!"

"I ordered the no. 77 chicken mince and spinach. Really no spinach to mention but the major issue was the amount of salt which left me gulping water all night. I’ve had very inconsistent meals from this place."

"Fast and friendly service. We had the duck rolls, satay chicken and duck noodle. The food was tasty and the portions were large. We will visit again!"
