"So after giving Puppety Palace a month to reply privately, no response, after a visit to Sydney for a family birthday we booked our 12 year old long haired dachshund in overnight. On arrival, this place is filthy. I decided I could not leave her overnight so picked her up at 5.30pm after her being there 8hrs. On collection she was wet, absolutely stunk of urine and was freezing cold. We had to take her to get bathed. We use a Pet resort at home many times each year, which is amazing in cleanliness and their care for my girl. No excuses now, your service is appalling"
"When we went to drop our dogs off over the Easter long weekend, the property seemed messy and unkept, with discarded cans and rubbish laying around but the staff seemed friendly despite being very busy. We wanted to take our dogs down to the kennel, the staff insisted on taking them, in hindsight this was probably a red flag. When we picked our dogs up our youngest was abnormally quiet and reserved, he was not playing like he normally would, no running around etc ( he has been boarded elsewhere quite a few times and never had this issue) On the second night home he stopped walking completely, we rushed him to an after hours vet, he was put on pain killers for a week. We can not say whether or not this is related to his care but he has never had an issue with his legs beforehand."
"I never write my reviews publicly but feel it must be done on this occasion. We chose this place based on the Google reviews already written. It was the first time boarding our 13mo dog. His breed is prone to separation anxiety and resource guarding, so naturally we were worried he would not settle and struggle while there and impact future behaviour. We purchased the $50 indoor suite, quite expensive. When we arrived, the property appeared messy and cluttered. Our dog was ushered into a holding crate while we went to reception, which is fine, but the dog poo in there was not. This and the staff approach made us feel uncomfortable and want to cancel our booking immediately. We were told we were not allowed to view where our dog would be sleeping. They did not provide him his blanket and favourite chew toy during his stay. They fed him a kibble which has chicken by-products which I advised not to do due to possible allergies. Feedback about how he was settling in was scant and unsatisfactory. When we picked him up the lady said one night they put him in with other dogs overnight to stay warm. The poo was still there, 1 week later. Our dog came home and ate more than 3 times his usual daily portion, was aggressive to dogs he knows and loves and was extremely anxious. His behaviour for the few days after this suggests he had little to no exercise or human interaction, was underfed and placed in stressful situations with other dogs. We will never use this service again. Sadly I must give a minimum of 1 star to post my review, otherwise I would be choosing 0 out of 5."
