Our establishment is a point of interest situated within the iconic Pier 2/3, a heritage listed finger wharf in the Walsh Bay Arts Precinct. This historic location holds great significance in Sydney's industrial history and is part of a remarkable project by the NSW Government to revitalize Walsh Bay into a vibrant cultural and creative hub.

At The Neilson Nutshell, we are proud to be the new premises of Bell Shakespeare, a renowned theatre company. Our space beautifully combines the heritage features of Pier 2/3 with the contemporary needs of our artists and audiences. We offer two expansive venues for experiencing our work: our flagship performance space, The Neilson Nutshell, and the companion venue, The Seed.

You can find us at Walsh Bay, 13A Hickson Road, Dawes Point, NSW 2000. We are conveniently located just a brisk 15-20 minute walk from Circular Quay and Wynyard transport hubs. If you prefer public transportation, Hickson Road is serviced by the 324 and 325 bus services, or you can take the 311 to Millers Point. Pedestrian and cycle paths connect Walsh Bay Arts Precinct from Barangaroo to Circular Quay. If you are driving, there is metered parking available on Hickson Road, Pottinger Street, and Lower Fort Street. Paid off-street parking can also be found at 26 Hickson Road (Interpark) and at the corner of Towns Place and Hickson Road (Wilsons).

When you arrive at Pier 2/3, simply follow the signage for Performance Spaces to reach The Neilson Nutshell and The Seed. Both venues are located on Level 1 and are accessible by stairs or lift.
