Situated in the picturesque Hunter Valley, our restaurant boasts a dark, moody, and intimate dining room adorned with handcrafted local furniture. For a unique experience, guests can choose to dine along the chefs' bar, where they can peer directly into the kitchen and interact with our team.

Our talented head chef, Frank, embarked on his culinary journey at the age of 15 at Mount Broke Wines, a humble cafe in Broke. He further honed his skills during his time at Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley and later in London, working alongside renowned chef Tom Aikens. Returning to the Hunter, Frank joined the esteemed Muse Restaurant, where he developed his own style and eventually became Head Chef.

In 2015, Frank and his wife Emma embarked on a new adventure with the opening of EXP. restaurant. Since then, our menu has continuously evolved to reflect the changing seasons and showcase the best of Australian cuisine.

Our sommelier, Harrison, has a rich background in the wine trade and a deep passion for the industry. After working at Bistro Molines and obtaining a certificate IV in Hospitality and Tourism, he pursued further education at the International Butler Academy, earning the prestigious title of International Butler with distinction. Harrison is dedicated to providing exceptional service and awaits your arrival at EXP. Restaurant.

Joshua, our skilled pastry chef, brings a wealth of experience from his time at Pony Dining and the Bentley Group. With a passion for fine dining and a love for diverse cuisines, Joshua embraces the rush of the kitchen while maintaining finesse and flavor in his craft. He is excited to welcome you to EXP.
