"I had my hair done at white ivy and honestly Carla completely blew me away and exceeded beyond my expectations! I went to another hair dresser and ask for ash brown hair but they gave me streaks and baby lights and blamed me saying my hair is too dark and I can’t achieve that colour. So I went to white ivy and showed her the inspiration photo and she knocked it out of the park! 100000% recommend them especially if you have Asian hair!!"
"always love my experience here! this is one of my go-to salons when i want to bleach and\or colour my hair! they always do such a good job !! the staff are all very lovely, accommodating and experienced. they are also quick to respond to all my queries online. i usually show them a photo of what i want or ask for a quote prior to booking to which they've always replied back with very detailed responses ! highly recommend !"
"i'm quite hesitant in going to salons and haven't had a haircut since during covid 2020. i've been to numerous hairdressers to try and find the right salon that understood my hair texture and was actually attentive to their clients. i was recommended by a friend (long term client) to visit and i had seen the many great hair transformations on instagram, so i was inspired and had high expectations. i knew that for the full cut, colour, wash, blow wave and style that i'd be spending half of my day there (also had virgin black regrowth) and that it would also be costly which was expected. after 5.5 hours and $500 later (incl recommended dandruff shamp/cond products which has improved my hair/scalp conditions) and reviewing my "goal photos", my preferred colour of warm dark blonde wasn't achieved. the salon was clean and modern, staff was courteous, Emily was attentive and took care but i just didn't get the desired outcome (colour turned "ash blonde" after a couple of washes). found out later on that they had a 2-week period after your visit to raise any concerns and complete any rework on your hair colour at no cost which was great to hear. after liasing with Rebecca, i had returned another day to "tone" my hair for the warmer look (was given a 1 hour time slot). but there was still no warmth, only just darkened my hair. Emily also gave me a complimentary copper toner conditioner for the trouble. it felt rushed and incomplete (another client was waiting). customers shouldn't obtain their desired looks after salon visits and we deserve to get what was requested if we are paying half a grand! unfortunately, this could have happened anywhere and to anyone. i do feel disappointed that i had spent so much time and money on an experience/result that I could have paid half the price for elsewhere."
