"This place is a hidden gem and is so underrated!! The shop has a very welcoming environment, friendly team and a well-structured system for queuing upon arrival. I have visited this place twice already and had two different employees on each occasion—big shoutout to Lucas and Bianca. On both visits, I had a fade and beard trim with a razor. I must say, the level of detail both had was amazing. They took their time to cater to your specific needs instead of rushing to serve the next customer. Very well done I would 100% recommend this place."

"Wanted to go a few times before leaving a review. Have been 3 times now and had my hair cut by 3 different people - each time has been absolutely excellent. Its so nice to see a group of people actually take pride in their work and have such high standards. They take their time to make sure each cut is perfect (with the blend/fade) + they use really good quality products. Their work stations are really clean and all the shaver guards are all set out in order (I know its a bit OCD of me, but to me, that's another good sign of people being proud of what they do). Standard cut is $35, which is an absolute steal for what you get!"

"Getting a haircut these days is akin to either getting a ‘lawn mowed’ or having your hair sculpted like ‘art’. Burbs is definitely more like that later, with each customer getting the time, commitment and care they deserve to get the perfect experience. As soon as you walk in, the sense of intelligence and thought oozes throughout the shop. A gaming machine in the far left corner of the shop is complemented by the most comfortable couches, biscuits and magazines on offer with the most soothing records playing in the background. The decor across the walls from the dart board, bicycle and records on the wall capture your attention long enough in time for your name to be called out. Speaking on your name being called out, they now have a sign in system where you just input your name and you can choose your barber and precisely know how long you have to wait. A gentle but reaffirming touch to an already ambient setting. I’ve received a haircut and/or beard trimming from more or less all of the friendly staff from Brazil at Burbs and the consistency in care and gentleness is second to none. From how gently they move your head around to the eucalyptus filled warm towels on your face before your beard trim, they go above and beyond to treat you well. I’ve seen over the course of the last 2 months of going into their shop new additions, constant reiterations of service of how they do things and listening to customers with a deep empathy. And perhaps this is at the heart of what is so great about Burbs, as a service industry participant, they get right what is most important, how they treat and engage customers. It doesn’t hurt that they are the only barber that has consistently given me a good haircut, and consistently having my hair treated like art, something which most barbers fail to do. Special shoutout to Welson who cut my hair today and always does a great job!
