"Dr Natasha Pesce and the team (linda) not only saved my Maximus, they as a result have played a large part in my continued role as a volunteer Welfare Officer for Veterans. I have an Assistance Dog (Maximus) for multiple instances of PTSD injuries. I depend on my dog in many ways and he is one of the main reasons I'm still alive today. On the long weekend at Easter my mate (Maximus) after losing a 1/3 of his body weight in just over a week, lost control of his bladder on Easter Saturday. As I frantically called my previous vet at Belrose I was directed by the answer machine to 24 hour emergency vet on Mona vale Road. The initial diagnosis was prostate cancer with an immediate requirement for total castration within days. I rang the previous vet and left messages, the 24hr vet also sent an email report to that vet at Belrose. While holding Max in my arms for the rest of the weekend waiting for the vets to open, I was referred to Dr Natasha Pesce at Terrey Hills Animal Hospital. The referral told me of a friend who had a dog operated for ACL on both legs, first at Belrose Vet and then at Terrey Hill Animal Hospital with Natasha. They said that the difference was so great that they would never return to the Belrose vet. In desperation I left a message at Terrey Hills. Tuesday morning first thing they rang me and said that Natasha couldn't see us till Thursday. I explained the circumstance and they made a time for the next morning with the option to operate straight away. Tuesday night at about 7:30pm I received an apology call from Dr Tash about getting back to me so late, as she was driving home from work. Natasha then explained what her recommendations and given the mutual dependency of my dog with me gave alternatives to minimise our separation due to the procedure. The next morning Tash did a CT Scan on Maximus and determined that there was a much less invasive and expensive way to treat Max. No operation, some medication and within 4 weeks he is back to a healthy weight full of beans and cheek as usual. I cannot put into words the relief that Terrey Hills Animal Hospital has given me, all the staff (Linda) are helpful kind compassionate and considerate. Due to my PTSD I am reliant on Veteran and RSL Lifecare housing. I now live at West Ryde, 1 klm from a nearby vet. I drive without a 2nd thought to Terrey Hills Animal Hospital. I'm still awaiting a call from the vet at Belrose after 4 weeks, just so I can tell them how disgusted I am about them."
