About the Business
Welcome to Clyde Veterinary Hospital, located in Clyde North, Australia. Our establishment is not only a point of interest and a store, but also a trusted health and pharmacy institution that specializes in veterinary care. At Clyde Veterinary Hospital, we have a team of caring and talented vets who collectively have years of direct hands-on veterinary experience. Our loyal and dedicated customer base has allowed Dr. Mitry to realize her dream of bringing the best possible pet care to Southeast Melbourne.
Our philosophy at Clyde Veterinary Hospital is strongly focused on preventative vet care. We believe in taking a long-term view to the well-being of your beloved pets, always prioritizing what is best for them over the longest possible timeframe. As a cat-friendly veterinary clinic, we have separate waiting and hospitalization areas for cats and dogs. Our vets and nurses are all trained in managing the unique needs and temperaments of cats, significantly reducing stress for our feline friends during their stay at our friendly and low-stress facility.
One of our standout features is our enormous 43 square meter sunlit outdoor recreation area. This space is perfect for pets who may get restless while waiting for treatment or need to board or be hospitalized with us. We ensure that your pet is returned to you well-exercised and happy. Our dedication to providing the best care for cats has been recognized by the International Society of Feline Medicine, who awarded us with GOLD STANDARD CERTIFICATION under their 'Cat Friendly Clinic' Program.
While we are experienced in the diagnosis and treatment of unusual breeds of rabbits and guinea pigs, we advise owners to seek a specialist veterinarian for the care of pet birds, ferrets, rodents, reptiles, or other exotic species. You can have complete peace of mind in your pet's welfare throughout their entire procedure and recovery.
At Clyde Veterinary Hospital, we utilize iM3 dental equipment to offer the latest in animal dental care, including scale, polish, and extractions. Our long-term preventative care approach ensures that your pets remain free from sometimes deadly worms and parasites. We also place a premium on vaccinating your animals as a form of preventative medicine.
Microchipping your pets is an amazing way to ensure their safety and increase the chances of successful reunions. We also provide comprehensive preventative health checks and management plans for older animals to ensure they stay happy and healthy for years to come.
Our state-of-the-art facilities include a brand new digital radiography machine and advanced on-site pathology, delivering quick and accurate results. Additionally, our vets are well-trained in identifying and resolving behavioral issues in pets before they become hard-to-break habits.
Clyde Veterinary Hospital can also assist you in preparing your animal for export and provide the necessary certification for travel. We are trained in the PennHIP technique for the analysis of common hip disorders in dogs, offering effective preventative management plans for hip dysplasia and osteoarthritis.

"All the staff are so friendly and welcoming. The drs and nurses are fantastic at this clinic. Our Charlie has been coming here since he was a pup. Definitely recommend"
"Dr. Jess was one of the best vets we've ever been to - she explains everything so thoroughly, and you can tell she's got such a great wealth of knowledge about how to treat something that could have multiple causes by how she treatment plans various scenarios on the spot. She caught something in a consult appointment that hadn't been caught at another vet 2 days beforehand at a full checkup. I'm not normally one to decide things based on price because I know good quality service and care should be billed accordingly, but we got so much more care and information and advice here for a much lower bill. After our experience here I would feel confident than anything quoted or any treatment recommended by them was truely necessary and best for my pets. The reception staff are also absolutely lovely, and they were so accommodating about pickup times because of my work schedule. I could not recommend a better vet for your pets and furbabies than Dr. Jess and the team at this clinic. 10/10."
"Love this vet hospital. My oldest cat Ollie had to have an ultrasound and a few tests done and they’re so caring and lovely. He came home happy that he got to give the vet nurses smooches and is back to good health with some advice from the Vet. I had to drop my baby off early and rush to work and didn’t get to give him cuddles before his surgery, the staff were kind enough to let me come back for cuddles which I really appreciated. Thank you! We will be back, hopefully it will just be for a check up next time."
"Very helpful and friendly clinic with great staff. Have been wonderful with all of our babies and a great help especially yesterday after a scary emergency involving a poisoning incident. Thank you Clyde Vet for all your help. Miffy, Allie, Goosie and Scooby appreciate it."
"Best vet I have ever been to! Went to this vet as my little fur baby was not well. The staff here took amazing care for her. She is on the road to recovery now. Couldn't thank the staff enough for taking care of her and going above and beyond."
