"Great spot within walking distance of the main Sydney attractions, plus nearby errands like a grocery and chemist/pharmacy. The kitchen is well stocked for all cooking tools and the breakfast is run really well (very appreciative of this service). The cleaning staff works hard and cleans the whole place top to bottom daily, which is amazing. Only request would be to adjust the door on the study room so it doesn't slam shut. If that's my only request, then you know it must have been a good place."
"Hostel was clean and staff friendly. Room was clean and bed comfortable. There was a fridge in the room which was very useful. Breakfast was fine - breakfast cereals and toast. A variety of spreads provided for the toast. Biggest issue was a fire alarm after someone burnt toast. As we were evacuating the building some people were going up stairs. Staff did not stop them. When the fire brigade arrived there was someone still making breakfast in the kitchen. All fire alarms should be treated as if they are real. This type of attitude is extremely dangerous."
"I recently had the opportunity to stay at Pacific House Hostel, located in Woolloomooloo, Sydney, and I must say it was a fantastic experience. The hostel is known for its cleanliness, which was evident from the moment I arrived. The rooms and common areas were spotless, making for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. One of my favorite features of Pacific House Hostel are the activities offered. I had the chance to participate in yoga classes, which were a great way to start the day and relax. Additionally, the hostel organized wine and cheese evenings, providing a wonderful opportunity to meet new people and socialize. It was a fantastic way to connect with fellow travelers and create lasting memories. The staff at Pacific House Hostel was exceptional. They were young, friendly, and came from all over the world, creating a vibrant and inclusive atmosphere. It was comforting to know that even if English wasn't your strongest language, you could still communicate effectively and feel at home. Their hospitality and willingness to assist with any inquiries or concerns made the experience even more enjoyable. Another great advantage of this hostel is its convenient location. It is just a short walk away from the CBD, Botanic Garden, and the iconic Opera House. Being able to explore these popular attractions on foot was a major plus, as it saved both time and transportation costs. I highly recommend Pacific House Hostel for any traveler wanting to experience Sydney."
"First of all, the location was perfect for me, very quiet but convenient enough to travel around with a little walk. The interior is also lovely and the cleanliness is very pleasing. The common areas are always crowded. I didn't spend much time in the hostel but they have interesting activities that you can join and get to make friends which is cool! Overall, I enjoyed my stay so much! Would recommend."
"First impressions really weren't good. We entered into a nice looking lobby that was unfortunately flooded by teenagers loitering and staring at us. I had already downloaded the app for the doors however, the check in process was very confusing and the ladies at the reception felt the need to finish their long chat before getting back to me to check in. As for the room itself, we weren't expecting much for one night and are still disappointed. Stuffy room with dust still on curtains and window (which were tiny by the way). We knew the bathrooms would be separate from the room itself and that was fine, what was not acceptable were the drunks sitting in the hallway we had to walk past just to get there. The accommodation were also well aware that two people were staying in the room. We each got one very thin pillow each to sleep on. We had to use the towels underneath just to fall asleep! No noise curfew so if you like sleep good luck cause they seem to love a party there. To top it all off, we managed to find a roach on the bed, we checked out long before 10am. Overall I'd say if you're okay with the bare minimum, this place is fine but I wish we just spent the extra cash on a place were we would at least fall asleep comfortably."
