"A very convenient place to live and very close to central station and CBD. 200 meters to Woolworth and some Asian market, and many restaurants. Friendly and helpful staff can meet your needs. If you have any online order, you can send to a mail box and then they can help to bring to you."
"Overall, this is a good budget place to live. As you probably know, this is one of the cheapest places near to UTS, costing just as much as the UTS on-campus housing. However, this is unfortunately not as good as the on-campus housing. In retrospect, I wish I had spent a bit more for a nicer accommodation such as Scape or Iglu. Of course, I aimed for on-campus housing but did not get it. Problems: Terrible insulation. Construction was going on during my 5-month stay for 6 days a week, all day. I spent as little time as possible in the apartment because I could hear jack hammers all the time. Very small bathrooms. Your knees will hit the sink when you go to the toilet. Dryer never worked properly. I did many cycles on the dryer, and it only properly dried my clothes twice. Many others had this problem as well. Wifi was out for three weeks during the exam season. Three weeks was a very long time, especially during such an important time. Strengths: International presence. Great place to meet friends. Good roommate matching. Both my roommates spoke English fluently. I noticed that similar cultures were matched together as well. Well stocked. The kitchen is well stocked and no need to buy furniture."
"A lot of the French housemates who lived with me on Broadway and Central were very selfish, either bringing guests over to hold a rowdy party (Broadway), or clogging the sink and filling the water up to the brim of the sink then leaving the kitchen without cleaning up their own mess. A lot of house policies were blatantly disregarded and the team didn't do enough to enforce them, especially the "no-guest" policy. I mentioned this to the house manager several times, but if you only send them a warning letter or verbal warning and wouldn't actually evict them after warning thrice, there is essentially no deterrent effect. Since the walls were quite thin, you could hear them easily and housemates could be loud after 10pm. I've had this experience living in both houses. Usually they talked loudly in the living room or hallway, and sometimes even at a normal volume people inside the room could still hear the conversation clearly. Not everyone cleaned up after themselves as well, particularly the French people were the most uncooperative. If there is no monitoring or follow-up, the kitchen would just become messier and the house rule is basically null. Moreover, when I was living in Broadway, the cleaners did not come at a fixed time and often disrupted cooking, and the floor reeked of unpleasant bleach smell. If your team are so keen on improving customer satisfaction, these are the things you can start working on. Shortcomings aside, the rent is generally affordable considering the housing crisis and the Broadway house is spacious and comfortable. The Central house not so much, though, since the layout of the house is very weird and the kitchen poorly ventilated. The twin room I lived in and the bed I was assigned to was also small and weirdly laid out. There was lack of sunlight coming into the room from the tiny window on the opposite side of the long room, which was another main problem."
"I stayed in the Link2 apartment for two months. The location of the building is just perfect, right in the city center and close to everything. The rooms are not very big but equipped with the needed furniture. Sometimes can be difficult to share the kitchen (especially) and the bathroom with other 10 people because of different lifestyles and culture origin, but you’ll start to adapt yourself and enjoy sharing experiences."
"The place is right next to central and UTS campus, has all basic facilities (shared bathroom, kitchen with utensils and cooking quipment, coin laundry, wifi and aircon) is well maintained and is neat and clean and the hosts (Greg & Emma) are very supportive and wonderful. I've had a great living experience at Link2 so far!"
