"We paid roughly $13,000 in appointments and tests to be informed our dog had rat poisoning. She was treated as such and continued to worsen. We had to push and push for more information and it turns out she had cancer and weeks to live. This practice also suggested the fault of their poor communication was because English is our second language. We could not believe how poor the experience was and how little everyone cared about trying to save our pet rather than wait for her to die so we sought a second opinion at another vet who said "let's start cancer treatment immediately" and our beautiful pup is already doing better. You can ser in the photo how she is getting better."
"Do not recommend this vet. Not only do they have a huge turn over in vets. But they are a cash grab, they do not care about the animals. This place is just a cash grab. They do not refer to your dog by its name or gender, only IT. We were told we required a MRI for my dogs leg, the first question they asked was - 'do we have pet insurance'. Once I got the MRI for $4000. I was moved to SASH rehab, Sash said my dog never needed the MRI and an x ray would have been fine (which north shore already had on file). My dog also got pneumonia and we spent $6000 over 3 days to then find out, they weren't treating her with the correct medication which is why she wasn't getting better. We have also had another dog in there and North shore did xrays without approval on our end at midnight when a external object was already ruled out of the equation. Please do not go to this vet. Some of the reception staff are great, but that is it."
"Goodness!!!! I wish I had known of this clinic earlier. We took our 7, almost 8 year old labrador to this clinic after she had multiple seizures and had already been to an emergency hospital the night before. Our usual vet suggested for our puppy to be monitored throughout the day and overnight with North Shore Vet Hospital as a suggestion. From the moment we entered, to when we were spoken with and the details we were given about our baby, gosh, no matter what the diagnosis or the prognosis, the fact that we were spoken with and our girl is kept at ease amongst so much love, I will deal with whatever comes our way. Dr. Kerry Doolin, Dr. Amelia Wong, the nurses, specifically Suzie and the reception staff, Liz put my husband and me at ease. We hadn't slept in two nights, but with our baby being looked after by such amazing humans in a state-of-the art facility, we came home and were able to get a few hours rest. Best of all, unlike other emergency hospitals, this hospital is in fact also a day Veterinary clinic. This allows your pets to be cared for and handled by the one team throughout their lives, rather than treated by one clinic during business hours and another after hours. An absolutely fantastic facility. Bless these kind hearted, caring humans who do so much for our furry pets."
"Dr Simon is the best. My rabbit Gill was very sick and my local vet can't do anything for her. Dr Simon saved her life."
"Fantastic experience, wouldn't trust anyone else with our fluffy friend. The reception staff were lovely (maybe the other reviewers were just rude?) Christine was absolutely brilliant as a vet, our cat had to stay overnight and despite him needing major dental surgery, the team consistently updated us through text and call to assure all went well. While not as cheap as your regular vet, that would be comparing a hospital visit to a GP appointment. Well worth the quality of care provided, and they were fully transparent with costs up front. Plus the love and cuddles our kitty got is priceless"
