"I haven't been back here for one to two years as I had felt that the portion was not worth the price in the past. Decided to give this place another chance because the restaurant I wanted to go to was closed. The service provided was prompt and very friendly. I had one of the ramen combos. When the food came I was disappointed to see that the sushi was still very tiny portions compared to sushi sizes else where. However the ramen bowl look great. The broth tasted nice, and the ramen was cooked to my liking. However the egg was slightly overcooked. The chashu looked amazing and the char on it was perfect, however this was also overcooked and the texture was a bit on the tough side. Also interesting was the addition of shiitake mushroom, which sort of overpowered the rest of the flavours, would have preferred if they'd not included that and put more of the other veggies or replaced with woodear or something else that was not so overpowering. The portion of the ramen was decent. Overall, service was good but the food wasn't the best Japanese I've had."
"I've been going to this restaurant for 2 years now, and I gotta say it's one of my faves! The owner and staff are awesome, and the food is amazing. Whenever I'm at Macarthur Square, I make sure to swing by. They have a special deal every day, and on Mondays, you can get their Bento special at 20% off - such a steal! Oh, and on Fridays, they have happy hour all day for Asahi draft beer. Highly recommend!"
