"Rooms are clean and spacious. Very dated and they have lost their eye for detail. Shower dripped al night and cold water in the kitchen didn't work at all. They took a credit card imprint for sundries and the room had none. Couches was ripped and torn. For the money, management need to have a good look at them self. The location is very convenient"
"The rooms are tired and dated to the point that the middle part of the cold tap in the shower fell off during our stay. The very fact that they still have a two-tap shower mixer really spoke to the dated aspect of this hotel. Worse for me, though, was that our apartment was just plain dirty on arrival. We arrived to a filthy bath mat, dirty dishes in the cupboard, built-up dust and gunk around vents, a dirty mirror, uncleaned counter tops, and hairs in the bathroom that weren't ours, among other things. These issues were remedied but only after my partner wrote a list of our concerns and presented it at reception. This hotel is in a premium location and we had a stellar view of the Sydney Opera House but the presentation on arrival was very, very poor. I paid a high price for the room and, while I understand that the view and location will have played a large part in that price, I do not think that this makes up for the lacklustre rooms and poor cleanliness. The reception staff were incredibly helpful and professional and we could not fault them. I was disappointed, however, that nobody from management reached out to us after we voiced our concerns about the room. All in all it was a good location and the bed was comfortable but at the end of the day I feel I paid a too high a price for this poorly presented, tired, dated accomodation."
"Great location, very comfortable beds, quality linen. However bathrooms dirty, the taps had built up grime around them, rust around shower screens, chipped toilet seat, rest of unit was dusty with some busted power outlets. Also had no complimentary drinks, just a few coffee sachets and long life milk. Staff were nice people. overall is old and grimy."
"Spacious room for the price, convenient kitchenette - small hot plate, good sized microwave, small bar fridge. Pleasant staff, needed to ask service staff for toilet paper and tissues, not sure if this was management scrimping or if it was an oversight, quickly rectified when questioned, room serviced well otherwise. Surprising views of the Opera House and Bridge from some rooms. Location awesome for history appreciators, very very close to the beautiful and awesome Rocks. Rooms getting a little dated, we had a 50c sized rust/hole spot in our bath, enough of a deterrent not to use for the duration of our 8 night stay. Laundry room with small cost for washing machine and drier use. Small pool which is nice in summer, small gym with enough equipment for a work out, spa right next to pool which is dated but very nice after a work out or following lots of walking throughout Sydney. Upon researching, Rendezvous is still a competitive option for the location."
"Definitely 5 star location. Booked direct online in plenty of time for a birthday treat. Asked for studio balcony room with best view. And they delivered. Apart from when the cruise ships arrived we could see bridge & opera house. Reception staff friendly & helpful. The accommodations were old but clean. My only complaint is that the housekeeping staff missed the mark on details. For example no tissues after I used the last few day 1 & empty body wash container. But everything felt clean. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a room in the heart of the rocks."
