Reviews
"We dined in outside on a quiet Thursday night, no other tables outside so we thought why not! After being seated by a heater, the waitress said she’d be back to change the gas, which never happened. After waiting for about 20-25 minutes in the cold we had to go inside to request for our order to be taken. Our table was also so wobbly water kept spilling every time you’d lean on it. The food came out quickly and was quite nice but nothing spectacular (especially for the price range). Only stand out was the focaccia. But our overall experience was underwhelming due to the staffs’ lack of hospitality. Definitely something that needs to be worked on."
"Decided to spontaneously pop by this restaurant for dinner with my partner and dog for a Thursday night dinner. We were greeted by a waitress who sat us outside by a heater. Since it was a cold night she tried to turn the heater on but it was out of gas, she said she would come back to change to cylinder but forgot about us. My partner and I waited outside for approximately 20 minutes and I had to go inside to remind staff we were sitting outside and ready to order and cold. We reminded another member of staff if they could change the gas cylinder and it was done promptly, so that was nice. The service was nice, however not that talkative or welcoming. My partner and I felt uncomfortable at times and as though we were burdening them. The food was nice, however more on the pricier side. We ordered the seafood risotto and although it was presented really nice, it had a weird bitter taste and smell to it which was weird. Our fish and chips were nice, however the fish portion was small. The highlight would be the kingfish sashimi and house made focaccia, both were so lovely. Overall, it was an okay restaurant however we probably won’t be returning."
"We popped in for a drink and a light meal, and the waiter was literally too cool for school, acting like he owned the place. The drinks were jam-packed full of ice, with not much of anything else in them. The food was very ordinary and nothing to write home about. It's such a shame that the good old fish 'n' chips shop has gone. Bring back the good old days!"
"Not surprisingly , there wasn’t a bountiful choice of vegetarian options, which one wouldn’t expect from what is essentially a fish and chips place. But what a lovely setting and set up it is. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not just fish and chips , for what they do have to offer they do exceptionally well. The man did indeed have battered fish and chips where I chose an unusual beetroot and walnut salad with the beetroot being yellow! It was all quite delightful."
"We went for an anniversary lunch. Arriving early, we were easily accommodated and the staff are extremely friendly. The food was delicious and the service impeccable. Molly was our hostess, who was friendly, helpful and wonderful to chat with. Highly recommended. We will be back!"
