"Absolutely adore Da Mario. We come here often and recommend it to friends. Current favourite pizza is the formaggi e miele pizza - eek so good. Everyone there is lovely, food is wonderful, love it. Thank you."
"Amazing food and excellent service. Authentic, beautiful Italian food with am excellent range of pasta and pizza dishes and delicious starters. Highly recommended!"
"Da Mario is a great Italian and pizza restaurant. Limited walk-ins, we were lucky to get a spot at the communal dining table. Ordered the margherita pizza, tagliatelle ragu and ridicchio salad for two people and it was plentiful. The pizza and salad were the stand outs for sure. The pizza base is super fine and the topping ingredients are super fresh and so tasty. The wood oven does the job with lovely charred bits around the base. The ridicchio salad combo of the leaves, grapes and Parmesan gives it a really nice sweet, salty and bitter combo, loved it! Great ragu also. Nice warm service and the waiter knew the menu. The only negative is one of the female services didn’t have her super long hair tied up - not really ideal when someone leans into the table to place and collect dishes and their hair is all over the place."
"Pizzas were delicious. The crust is chewy and fragrant. Toppings also match very well. We decided to add shaved West Australian black truffle (+$8) to the bianche pizza. It added that distinct ‘garlicky’ truffle complexion to the pizza. The pastas that we tried, however, were disappointing. Gnocchi was not chewy enough, it disintegrates very easily in your mouth. The gnocchi sauce was also very basic, just tomato & cheese, and the sauce didn’t absorb into or coat the gnocchi well. It felt like eating a gnocchi with a tomato sauce on the side. Risotto was also a major disappointment. The white seafood sauce was bland to me, and the crushed peanuts add texture, but I don’t feel they match well with the sauce. There is a bit of inconsistency in the sauce as you can feel clumps inside the sauce (may have been flour? i dont know). Anyways, go for the pizzas, they taste delicious."
