"We had a great lunch in the restaurant. We were inside so didn't get to enjoy the view but there are great views from the front bar and rooftop and the various outside bars as well as the veranda of the main restaurant. - obviously the outside bars are only open at certain times when the weather is more pleasant or perhaps weekends. Parking is tight so get there early if you don't want to walk. The food was good and most of us were positive about the various dishes - I had the Korma Lamb Pie with chips to complement it. The pie was cool inside but the dish extremely hot! - I suggest it needed to stay in the heating oven for a 5 mins more. Yet my friend had the same dish and it was hot inside. I left it for a while and the heat from the dish made the pie warmish. I still give 5 stars as the other guests had no issues. Would I go back - the answer is yes."
"The room was great as was the service but I would not recommend staying in the heritage part of the hotel period.we booked rooms 5 and 10. Room 5 had severe aircon plant noise that was known by the staff which did not abate until 11.30pm. Room 10 was directly above the public bar. You could sing along in your room and the vibrations travelled directly up. It finished with Neil Diamonds sweet Caroline at 10.45 and was replaced for the next half hour by the noise of drunk and puking patrons leaving . Coupled with poor parking and no breakfast options, it is not a 4 star hotel. If you like pubs then go for it but there are better and cheaper options in town."
"Booked for Saturday & Sunday night. Were given a room upgrade away from construction works and placed directly above open decking. Sounded like we were on the dance floor. When music stopped it was replaced by partying. Great to be part of, but not when you have been up for 18 hours and trying to sleep. Rang the number on phone for AH contact which went to security to be told it wasn't an emergency and given a few more unhelpful tips. Spoke to desk next day about our experience, she was very understanding and offered a glass of wine. Hotel knew of noise issues in rooms 8, 9 & 10, but didn't bother letting us know. Parking also a problem as it is a busy venue through day, so be prepared. Rooms was nice, views great, but even noise from people talking in hallway was easily heard. Old building so stairs to climb. We won't be returning and would recommend checking out thoroughly that it meets your needs."
"To say Hotel Sorrento exceed our expectations would be an understatement! It absolutely BLEW them away. From the view from our accommodation to the food at the restaurant our stay could not of been made any better. But our favourite thing was definitely the staff. Everyone we dealt with was friendly and helpful. Was definitely hard to leave such an amazing place. Thank you to everyone of the staff for making such an amazing, awesome place that little bit better. We look forward to seeing you all again in the future."
"We celebrated our sister's birthday here. The food was amazing, the wait staff exceptional and the atmosphere beautiful. Would have given 5 stars, however, the only disappointment was parking and the poor road surface and lack of lighting in certain sections of the establishment made walking to the car quite a challenge. Will definitely visit again."
