"Visit Wildside Sanctuary and you won't regret it :) I loved every moment in this beautiful, secluded escape from the city. From bird-watching on the veranda, to hiking up to extraordinary view points... I could have stayed for another week. Plus, Sarah and John were the most generous of hosts! Thank you for an amazing stay ❤️"
"We spent several days at Wildside and would have loved to stay longer. The accom is cozy, clean, modern and homey. Everything you need to just lounge around, or have an adventure. The air is fresh and filled with sunlight and birdsong. Sydney feels as if it's a million miles away. This is a precious pocket of nature and we hope to return soon."
"We spent 2 nights here hidden from the real world. It took just 90 minutes from Sydney but it feels so much more remote. Each evening the birds gathered and entertained us with their antics whilst we sat on the veranda and read our books. There are plenty of walks and interesting shops in the area and the locals don't bite should you ask directions. Alternatively pack a fine bottle, some excellent cheeses, maybe a little anti pasta and a crusty loaf and just enjoy doing nothing."
"We had a great stay at The Bower (at Wildside Sanctuary) which has been beautifully renovated with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The living area and kitchen is spacious and well fitted out, including smart TV and wifi. The bed and linen is super comfy - we slept so well! The attention to detail throughout is excellent - from restored timbers, recycled plastics and eco friendly products (including eucalyptus sheets) used throughout. The deck is awesome for a BBQ and sitting at night and gazing at the stars. The grounds are extensive, with some trails and walks you can do onsite, or in the nearby surrounds. Bilpin is only a short drive away, where there are cafes, stores and cideries. Sarah and John were amazing hosts; super accommodating and friendly; and Rosie (lab x kelpie) was great fun too. Part of the appeal of this location is that you can do as much or little as you like. It is a great way to reset. We highly recommend the Bower and can’t wait to visit again in the near future!"
