"41 years since I last crossed the doors of this establishment and I have to say a lot has changed, and changed for the better. We, my wife and I stopped for a bite to eat on our return from Dublin and man, were we treated to an astonishing meal. The staff couldn't have been nicer, friendlier or more efficient. The choice from the menu was great. My wife opted for the roast of the day which turned out to be beef and she was delighted with the feast put before her. I went for the home made burger and I swear it was THE nicest burger I have ever tasted, served on a beautiful oval shaped bread that was delicious. Although we were asked if we'd like it we simply couldn't have had room for desert. We will definitely return as often as possible and I would strongly recommend anyone to visit for what can only be described as a truly wonderful food experience at very reasonable prices. Enjoy. P"

"Breakfast was amazing. Staff were so friendly, chatty and helpful... especially the breakfast staff. Would ask for a room closer to reception if I stayed again... mine was 10 minutes up stairs and along corridors! Would definitely recommend."

"I stayed in this lovely hotel for 2 nights. From the second I arrived I got a sense of comfort, history, warmth, and quality hospitality It has that old world feel that is timeless. Loved my room with high ceilings. Only gripe was the shower in the morning. The water was not hot enough- I took hot baths instead. I would highly recommend it.Great breakfast, fabulous staff. A special call out to Leslie."

"Hotel has a great relaxed vibe, and the atmosphere and decor is very comfortable. Great location to many spots you would want to access. My parents stayed in their accommodations for numerous nights and we ate with them in two of the eateries on premises. Great staff in the bar, with great food. Many locals also appear to frequent this establishment. The rooftop garden was a great spot to hang out. My parents seemed quite happy with their stay and room. After seeing the premises and my parents' room, I would also stay here."
