"No campervans allowed at all."
"Enniscrone is an increasingly popular family seaside holiday resort in Co Sligo, although only 10km away from Mayo’s 2nd largest town, Ballina. Like all such popular spots during the summer season it is often difficult to find parking, so keep in mind that there is quite a lot of totally free parking on tarmaced and / or firm grassy areas directly behind the dunes in front of the beach nearest the Cliff Road. (Parking and car access onto the main beach was closed off some years ago - a good thing as it is now much safer for kids and gives a lot more peace of mind to parents.) To get to the Hollow if you are coming in from the Ballina Road drive past the main beach entrance on your left, immediately you cross a little river and then immediately turn left down a narrow street (know locally as Duck Street) which will lead you into the Hollow bearing right. Alternatively, continue on a little further into town and turn left immediately after Tracey’s Cafe. Apart from the free and very beach-convenient parking the Hollow offers, amongst other things, a children’s playground, crazy golf, an ice cream parlour, an amusement arcade and the entrance to underground parking for the Ocean Sands Hotel. The beach guards station is based at the sea front side of the Hollow and you will also find here various surfing and water sport training schools and facilities. Definitely put the Hollow on your target list for Enniscrone. If you find this review helpful or interesting don’t forget to give it a “thumbs-up”. Thanks."
