"TERRIBLE PHYSIO AVOID AT ALL COSTS! I took my partner to Physiotherapy Solutions in Tuam recently because she was suffering from upper back pain. Having spoken with a lady on the phone when booking the appointment we wrongly assumed that it would be a female physiotherapist that my partner saw on the day. When we arrived we were disappointed to see it would be a male Physiotherapist that would be treating her but we decided to go ahead with the appointment because my partner wanted her back pain fixed ASAP. Unfortunately the treatment was absolutely awful. We booked a 30 - 40 minute appointment which the physiotherapist cut down to 15 minutes. It consisted of less than 5 minutes of actual physical contact that was simply the physiotherapist, who did not seem to know what he was doing gently pressing his thumb on my partners shoulder in the wrong place. After this the physiotherapist spent the following 5 minutes showing my partner some really basic exercises that any one could find online. The final 5 minutes consisted of a chat. Following on from this we were rushed out of the therapy room and towards the front desk where the physiotherapist demanded €60 for his session. I paid the €60 so as not to cause a scene but I was really angry after we left and my partner told me that she was still in pain. The same day I telephoned the business owner, explained the situation and asked for a refund. She told me that she would investigate and call me back. She called me back and told me that she does not give refunds but suggested I come back and pay for another session which I declined. I really do not know how this company justifies a fee of €60 for such bad service. This is significantly more expensive than other physiotherapist, the going rate seems to be €45 - €50 per session. We have now booked with a physiotherapist in Castlerea with a much better reputation for €45. This is an awful physiotherapist in Tuam, if you require any actual hands on treatment then avoid this place at all costs! I gave 1 star but I wish there was an option to give zero stars."
