"€970 - BestDrive price. V €320 - Independent Garage price. I wouldn't normally feel the need to write a review, but in this situation I think it's important for people in Westport to read this. I have used this garage many times over the past 7 years, previously Advanced Pitstop now Best Drive. I had always found them fair and reasonable to deal with, Tom the manager was always fair and gave me a few options. I had not been in the garage in sometime, I went in two weeks ago to get a spring and shocks changed, there seems to be new management now and I was quoted 970 euros for this job..! I thought that was crazy money for a fairly basic job. I went to a garage in Castlebar and got all the work done for 320 euros, a third of the BestDrive quote. My neighbour went in last week looking for tyres, he was told it would be three weeks before they could get the cheaper tyres in, but they could fit 190 euro per tyre Continental tyres straight away!! He also went to another garage and got the tyres for 120 euro each. I've spent thousands in this garage over the years, but after this, what can only be called pure price gouging, I wont be going near them again and neither will my neighbour! That's two past customers lost because you tried to play/profit off peoples ignorance"

"Scammers!!! Told me my alternator was gone after going in to get a new battery. This was a Saturday while on holidays. Told me not to drive car and to come back on Tuesday for new alternator. Luckily I had a friend in Westport to stay with. Went to another garage on Monday who checked the alternator and said it was fine. Cost me 2 days of holidays not to mention alot of stress. Avoid at all costs ."

"Customer service: " We take all complaints seriously and will always thoroughly follow-up your feedback. We will respond to you as quickly as possible " ... I can confirm from first hand experience, this is not the case. Very disappointed with service, being left weeks without response and feeling like I've been swept under the carpet. Will not be recommending."
