"This place is a gem! Food and atmosphere was good for a small place. Service was top notch considering how busy it was. Ordered the seafood platter special of the day and fish and chips, substituted chips with coleslaw."
"Really nice local pub on the side of Killary fjord. We stopped here for a quick bite after our hike on Diamond Mountain and we hit the jackpot. We had the soup of the day (courgette and cream cheese) and fish and chips (cod) although we swapped the chips for coleslaw. Everything tasted amazing, and was pretty fresh. Great place to have a cozy meal, in the middle of nowhere. Staff was super friendly and welcoming."
"A cut above normal bar food. You have a huge selection of classics and interesting in-house creations. Portions are pretty big (a starter is a solid lunch). It's self-service, meaning you take a seat wherever you like, then order at the bar giving your table number. You order will be brought to you. There is lots of seating outside and inside. Even on a busy weekend, you gave a good chance of getting a table spontaneously."
"THE BEST SEAFOOD CHOWDER I'VE EVER HAD!! And the Fish and chips were absolutely amazing too.....very fresh. This restaurant and bar has a unique village charm with incredible service. We had the privilege of meeting the owner and can tell he runs this place with his heart and soul. It is well worth the drive, I promise!"
"Delicious lunch in Hamilton's - seafood chowder and homemade wheaten bread, open faced prawn and salmon sandwich, and big, briney oysters, and great Guinness. Friendly staff. Lovely town. No good weather needed"
