"Really cool venue with many ancient tools. Interesting steam engined machinery from 1891 which still functioning, they turn it on once a month for an open day. It's more about the tourists here than about making whiskey, small distillery production. All of the staff was really helpful and chatty. My guide Jessica was splendid, really nice human being. I couldn't drink so they gave the tastings in small bottles. Highly recommended attraction half way between Galway and Dublin."
"Oldest distillery in Ireland. Price/quality of their whiskeys is amazing. Had a small tour with interesting info, great history and nice and patient staff. Will come back a next time to buy/taste some more; it's worth the drive!"
"Absolutely worth it. The tour is very interesting and the guide was quite friendly and knowledgeable. The tasting at the end is great, as expected, and you can ask for the “driver experience” meaning you’ll take home all samples in tiny bottles so you can try them later, which was a nice surprise. We also got to take a small glass home. They have a nice shop so you can take your favorite whiskey home, plus their bar is quite cozy. Amazing experience :)"
"We took the distiller’s tour and had a fantastic experience - a wonderful, detailed tour through living history. The old distillery is a treasure and worth visiting and protecting. Seeing today’s production was also really interesting and we enjoyed meeting the distiller as well as sampling whiskeys. Special praise for Heather our fantastic and knowledgeable tour guide. Very happy we visited and recommend it to all in the area."
"What an amazing tour, distillery and place overall! Our tour guide explained everything and answered all of our questions. The old distillery makes you travel back in time, it's kinda magical. I didn't try the whiskey but my partner did and he said it was delicious! Highly recommended!"
