"A lovely cottage bakery with bread made to Mary's own recipe. Delicious. She only makes couple of Dozen loaves a day so get there early! Sausage Rolls were lovely as were the homemade flans & potato cakes. Mary is great and has time for a chat."
"After a windy walk along Downpatrick, stopping at Mary's Bakery to pick up a freshly brewed coffee, wolfing down a toasted panini and enjoying some baking, that is being made right in front of you, is just a perfect day! The place is newly opened with a bench and a picnic table outside the front. Mother and daughter are salt of the earth and super nice!"
"We had really wonderful lunch! Seafood chowder was the best we have had! And the desserts were so tasty, fresh, chocolate tart was rich, but not too sweet. But the best was the bread and butter pudding: so light, fresh, summery delight with rhubarb! And Mary herself gave me tips how to do light b&b pudding."
"Mary took care of a couple of wary travellers and let us in early this morning where we were greeted with hot scones, fresh out of the oven, and an unbelievable full Irish breakfast. Great place, lovely staff, cosy atmosphere. Can't recommend enough!"
"Beautiful place to have some great food in a very small village on Wild Atlantic Way and easily the best option around Downpatrick Head. Staffs were so nice and the seating in the backgarden is superb. Ordered Vegetable Soup, Soda Bread and Fish platter and it was all good. The home made soda bread was the best I ever had so far. Sadly Crab Meat were not available on the fish platter. Surely will come again to try some other dishes from their menu."
