"Lovely place, excellent accommodating, friendly, yet professional staff and tasty menu. Ideal for light bites or lunch. Not a massive selection, but what they have is very good. Good value for money overall too. Family friendly. Nicely located in town centre, but be prepared to park I Cathedral grounds for €2 all day or O'Tooles carpark, free for 2 hours."

"After landing in Tuam on a wet Friday, starving, I didn't know where to go. Stumbled onto The Abbey Tavern and I was not disappointed, food was excellent and the staff was just as good, from the moment I went in the door everyone was so helpful and friendly and so much so I went in Saturday Night too. Really is an example of hospitality. Well done all, I will definitely be in again whenever I'm in tuam."

"Had a great night here with friends over Christmas. Food was fantastic and the place got really lively as the night went on. Got talking to the owners who were lovely and they even gave me a free Jameson. Will definitely be going out of my way to come here next time I make the trip to Galway!"
