"lovely place to stop for a lovely pint of Guinness and an extensive food and drinks menu. lovely team and very quick. great pint and a big food selection. bug apace to eat in of outside. right as you come into town so plenty of space for parking too. great range of food for all tastes."
"Very cosy pub , lovely food and very friendly staff , definitely worth a visit ."
"Great Sunday lunch menu... and great desserts. If you ask me what is the best pub food in Newport, I would always say Grainne Uaile. We had the Roast Lamb and Hot Steak Baguette, but there are plenty of other tantalising options and a wide variety for the size of the pub. The Lamb was tasty, smothered in gravy and sitting on the creamiest mash I've had in a while. (The mash perhaps a little to salty for my tastes, but I cannot say that I didn't wolf it down.) Some plates are not often seen on pub grub menus, and I am really curious to try them all. We ordered the chocolate nut sundae and the apple pie for dessert. Of all the places in Ireland (that I have eaten of course.) This one of the best Apple pies I've had. My wife says it's pastry, but I felt it was more cake based crust. Delicious either way... Love the hints and references to the Pirate Queen. The decor has some interesting photography points. I could have taken some great photos of the layout, sadly I was here for the food. Also it wasn't a good day and the light was bad... and just happen to be seated in a dark corner."
"Delicious food.. ordered the daily specials Baked cod with pistachio and white wine sauce which was amazing, King prawn in Thai curry served with rice and the Pecan dark chocolate tart. Overall visit was pleasant with staff wearing face-visors but for the slow service. Indoor & outdoor Dine-in✅ Social distancing ✅ clean washrooms ✅"
