Reviews
"Some very interesting gravestones one of the gravestones were some children who had died in a orphanage I don't think anyone looks after the graveyard"
"My husband Michael Towey is buried in the new cemetery. He came from Ballaghaderreen and we travel over from England as often as possible each year to tend to his grave. Recently we got notified someone had taken the stones from the grave and other than a disturbing photo that was all we got informed!!!!!!"
"Beautiful cemetery along both sides of Sligo Road near Ballaghaderreen. One side is newer, is very well maintained, and in very good order. The other side is older and is also in quite good repair. Many older headstones, all in good standing, and easily accessible. The further back into the old section you go, you begin to encounter many many graves that are simply marked with a large stone. This area requires care when walking, as the stones can be missed in the grass and walking can be tricky. The whole cemetery shows the love and care of generations, in no way appears desolate and forgotten. It was a heartwarming visit for my husband and I. Several people working in the cemetery pointed us in the direction of the family burial plot we sought, and each of them was warm and welcoming."
